Spiritual Eldering 2020

About This Event

Eldering is a verb that implies action. There’s much to be done in this season of re-firement: reviewing our lives so that all we have lived can be harvested as wisdom for now and for the time still to come; building a culture in which experience and wisdom become a resource for community; deepening our understanding of the ways our experience can address issues of our time such as loneliness and alienation, climate crisis and loss; and mentoring those who yearn to be accompanied by wise elders.

As a group of people 55 and older, we will spend time together listening deeply, remembering clearly, accompanying compassionately and exploring imaginatively so that we might be prepared and inspired to participate in the healing of our world.

On this fifth anniversary of Spiritual Eldering at Naramata Centre, we will continue to explore the revitalization of spiritual eldering. Some parts of our days will be all together. At other times we will be in two streams – one for first time attendees and the other for those returning for their second, third or fourth spiritual eldering experience.

      Family Reunion 2018.

Our family from far and wide, had a reunion the second week of July 2018 at the Naramata Centre at Naramata BC with some of us camping and the rest of us in the motel style accommodations. We all had a great experience and a good time in an ideal setting! The staff and the accommodations were great! We plan to go back again.

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
