The Subtle Joy of Presence: A Mindfulness Meditation Retreat

About This Event

Among the world’s contemplative traditions, it is a time-honored practice to go on an extended silent retreat.  The experience is intended to deepen one’s practice and create a temporary refuge from life’s daily demands.  The focus, the silence and the beauty of nature offer a setting that is often difficult to find in everyday life.

With the beautiful north Georgia mountains as the backdrop, this weekend retreat offers participants an opportunity to deepen their mindfulness practice, as well as a chance to experience the subtle joy of being present.  The retreat will consist of both sitting and walking meditation, as well as mindful movement and hiking. There will also be ample free time to relax, unwind, and commune with the incredible natural environment.

This retreat is open to both beginners and experienced meditators.  Please note that we will be observing noble silence during most of the retreat, which includes unplugging from our electronic devices.

This weekend is all-inclusive with:

Two nights accommodations (including all taxes, fees, program tuition).
