Venue Highlights

El Pital Chocolate Paradise is one of the most magical places in Ometepe, Nicaragua, an island inside a massive sweet water lake that is made of two volcanoes. One active volcano and one that has water ; creating waterfalls and springs. We source our drinking water from the spring in the volcano and grow our own organic foods, including coconuts and mangos and many other fruits, vegetables and herbs.
El Pital is located almost directly in the middle of this infinity shaped island on a beautiful bay with paddleboards, slacklines, and aerial silks and flow toys available to play with. Our yoga temple is surrounded by coconuts, mango, banana, cacao and lemon trees, providing a beautiful and serene view. We also arrange horseback riding tours, hiking tours, including the two volcanoes and the waterfall, motorbike and quad rentals as well as kayaking tours.

Our dorm is made from all natural materials including cedar wood and bamboo, with an open 360º view of the chocolate factory, our main stage where the silks are, and the lake. Sometimes the howler monkeys come to visit and you can see and hear them from there as well. It is next to our outdoor shower and only a few steps away from the lake.

We provide vegan meals. All of the food served is homemade with a range of international options. Our lunch and dinner meals include a drink, a salad, and the main dish. An example of a dinner meal would be a spicy green papaya salad, Thai coconut curry, and a jamaica lemonade.

Our Breakfast includes a freshly made coffee or a garden tea.

We can be found on google maps, under el pital ometepe.

If you arrive by plane to Managua, you can either take a taxi to San Jorge, the port, or take the backpackers route and chicken bus it there.
Taxi from the airport to San Jorge will cost anywhere between $50-$80 USD. Once in San Jorge, you take the ferry ( $2USD) which takes an hour to get to either San Jose or Moyogalpa, in Ometepe. We are located in between Balgüe and Madroñal, about 50min away from the port. Again, you can either take taxi ($20-25) or by chicken bus. They can drop you off right at our entrance, and from there you walk down a trail to get to el pital.
