Be still and Know that I am God - Silent Retreat

About This Event

Ages: 18+

Sunday - Friday

Price includes accommodation, individual spiritual direction, tuition, and supply fees.

This retreat is open to everyone – whether this is your first silent retreat or whether you have a longstanding experience – you’ll find time and space, community and spiritual direction to meet you on your journey. In the quiet beauty of springtime at Naramata, you’ll find rest, restoration and discernment in communion with yourself, the natural world and the Holy.

We’ll begin with orientation and entry into silence on Sunday night. We’ll experience four full days of silence and come out of silence on Thursday evening before our Friday departure. The rhythm of our days includes:

early morning practice (optional) Monday to Thursday

individual spiritual direction conversations Monday to Thursday

evening vespers Sunday to Thursday

Arrival is Sunday, April 19 at 2:00 pm to begin at 3:00 pm. Departure is Friday, April 24 at 10:00 am.

As this retreat includes accommodation, a room has been set aside for your private retreat time during the day and for overnight accommodation. Please consider this time as a true retreat opportunity and stay on site with us the entire time.

Accommodation is in private rooms and will be assigned to you on check-in.  Meals are self-catered in the beautiful shared kitchen of Orchard Court. Bring your own groceries/prepared meals. The community might share some potluck meals.

      Family Reunion 2018.

Our family from far and wide, had a reunion the second week of July 2018 at the Naramata Centre at Naramata BC with some of us camping and the rest of us in the motel style accommodations. We all had a great experience and a good time in an ideal setting! The staff and the accommodations were great! We plan to go back again.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with basic goodness in an environment of people who share a vision for a better society. Wimberly

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
