Capturing a sweeping view of the property and the Pacific Ocean, our 8-room lodge is nothing but spectacular. With eco-sustainable construction and natural, local wood elements, the lodge is our primary housing for guests. From the moment I arrived, Ananda Lodge felt like home.

The grounds are not only visually stunning, but energetically and intentionally curated to support deep healing and transformation. Every detail reflects mindfulness. From the beautiful private accommodations with indoor/outdoor showers, to the safe and nurturing maloka, nourishing aligned meals, and countless peaceful spaces for quiet reflection and integration.

When I first contacted Ananda and its team, I wasn't even sure I wanted to attend a retreat. I was very undecided and not entirely clear on what I wanted to work on, other than improving my health and exploring a specific type of plant medicine.

Kimberly was incredibly patient, observant, and supportive throughout the process. She took the time to provide a variety of options and explain what each retreat and each medicine had to offer. She never prescribed or imposed her own opinion about which path she felt was best for me based on what I shared. Instead, she left the autonomy with me to decide what was right for my own journey, and I deeply respected the way she held that space.

Once I selected my retreat and arrived at the property, my first impression was that it was an absolute sanctuary. It felt like stepping into someone's imagination. The property is elegant, peaceful, and truly a piece of paradise. I could not have imagined a better setting for such a unique and meaningful experience. I was immediately greeted by the shaman and Jason, who helped me get settled and made me feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable from the moment I arrived.

As for the ceremony itself, the facilitators, the medicine, the safe container they created, and the carefully curated group of participants all contributed to an environment where I felt completely safe. That sense of safety gave me a huge invitation to fully lean into the experience and the work I had come there to do.

There was the right balance of encouragement, respect, trust, and challenge to push me beyond my comfort zone while always remaining in service of my highest good.

One of the most meaningful messages I will carry with me from this experience is this:

*I can do hard things. Nothing is permanent. When life circumstances or conditions change, I am absolutely capable and equipped to navigate them. It may not feel easy. It may not feel comfortable. Fear may be present, but none of those things define my capability.*

Mindful Microdoser Virtual Experience

This three month guided micro dose journey is a life changer for someone who is intuitively feeling that they are ready to make a change(s) in their life. I had just quit a stressful, soul-sucking job and wanted to completely switch gears and tap more into my creativity while working on my anxiety. This program is more than just the medicine, it is having a couple of individual sessions with Kimberly, who is great at listening and understanding at a deeper level. It's working within a group of other microdosers and meeting together in workshops every other week for two hours so you get learn together. The session workbooks are the best. They are full of practices and videos that combined with the medicine truly help you be the best version of yourself. I'm an introvert and thought I would rather do something alone but this program really made me the best version of myself. Dana and Kimberly are truly the best. Beautiful healing experience

I did an Aya retreat here and it was amazing. What makes Ananda stand out from other places is their small group sizes and the amount of integration and care they put into your experience, even before you arrive and after you return home. The ceremony was run by an indigenous Shipibo shaman which gave that true authentic experience I was looking for and you get to directly connect and hangout with the shaman throughout your stay. They have comfortable rooms with a/c and beautiful views, an excellent chef that would make us healthy and delicious meals, and a warm staff all focused on your healing. There are many places in Costa Rica for plant medicine but Ananda is truly special and unique in their approach.
