About This Event

Chakapita is a sacred retreat center that provides guests with a unique healing experience harnessing the spiritual powers of plant medicine. The retreat center is situated in a stunning part of Southern Ecuador near Vilcabamba. The breathtaking backdrop of Chakapita includes the majestic Andes mountains and several rivers which are visited daily for cleansings before ceremonies. Each retreat has no more than 8 guests, enabling the Shaman to give each guest the attention they need, creating the most intimate of experiences. Guests are provided locally sourced food that is prepared on-site daily. Miguel is the shaman and has been offering ceremonies for the past 20 years with Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Wilka and Tobacco and helps people reach their highest selves by safely taking care of participants during ceremonies and cleaning away bad energies.

I just spent nearly two weeks with Miguel at Chakapita. The twelve days Ayahuasca retreat was at first extremely challenging but ultimately led to a major breakthrough and a truly transcendent experience. Miguel is a prince among men!! -Robert USA

I spent 2 wonderful weeks at Chakapita. The peaceful land is nestled within the stunning Andean Mountains by a riverbed; the rooms are super cozy and the dogs are like family, I couldn't have been more happy there. Most importantly, during my stay I had beautiful experiences with the Ayahuasca and San Pedro Ceremonies the Shaman put on; for my first ever experiences with plant medicine, I felt incredibly safe and comfortable with Miguel and Katie. I am eternally grateful for Miguel and Katie at Chakapita, and everyone that was there with me on the journey! I love you all 💜

      Your own private oasis

Having done hours of homework on ayahuasca retreats, it turns out I was supposed to be @ Chakapita. Nestled between mountains, Chakapita has a serene, tranquil, and therapeutic air about it. No fears or worries here. Our (my girlfriend and I) first experience with Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Vilka (Huilka), we needed a safe environment. Miguel (the Shamen) & Katie (partner, facilitator) provided the encouragement, the accommodations, the meals and anything we needed. We really enjoyed the small. intimate ceremony sizes, allowing personal attention and healing. The meals vegan, the living quarters cozy, you are free to do anything you desire in your down time. Overall, one of the most beautiful, amazing and experiential events of my life. I would definitely recommend Chakapita for growth and personal healing.

      Excellent Place with Exceptional Knowledge

Chakapita is a unique jewlery box in the heart of the Ecuarioan Andes, where not only the scent of roses hit me right away, but the breathtaking view of nature. Loose light warm feeling all day, cozy housing and great food were provided during my whole stay. Not only hospitality was excellent, but more importantly, Miguel made sure to gain the most out of my stay. All sacred plants were selected and prepared carefully. All ceremonies were safe and well led. San Pedro, Aya & Willka were possible to have at one place, which is unlikely to most centers, as far as I know .Set up and guidance were hand-in -hand: Would truly truly recommend to stay with Chakapita to everyone :)

My wish list coming soon, I hope within the next couple of weeks. I have heard many good things of Miguel and his personal one on one work with each individual. That is what I think has been missing at other ceremonies, plus the groups are small so we can be a close net spiritual involvement, meals together, mental support also. I can't wait to get there. I have been researching it for awhile now. If anyone is going the 1st of March 2018 , please let me know because I would like to get to know a few people. Peace!

I have no experience at Chakapita, but i wanting to book for March 2018, I would like to correspond with some people traveling around that date. I've studied the culture and was even considering Peru until I learned about The Sacred Valley of the Incas and Vilcabamba Ecuador. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Peace John
