About This Event

In this Level 1 immersion course, we will explore how to cook meals that are balancing to the 3 doshas, how to recognize imbalances and how to achieve balance through foods. Not only will you leave this course with an understanding of Ayurvedic principles to achieve optimal health, this immersion is designed to strengthen your awareness and connection to your mind/body through daily yoga asanas, controlled breathing, meditation and other mindful practices. By increasing this awareness, you will be better able to identify imbalances and allow your intuition to guide your cooking.

Not only is this course beneficial for those seeking empowerment in their own healing journeys, but also for professional chefs as you will learn how to make Ayurvedic meals that incorporate the 6 tastes, healing spices and sattvic ingredients balancing to the doshas.

Your body and mind will become organically in-tune with the rhythms of nature as we explore these topics in the serene and tranquil setting of Pura Veda Gurukulam, a living example of Yoga & Ayurveda in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This program is intentionally designed to immerse yourself in a high-vibrational and sattvic space to engage in this transformational journey with an open heart.

Enjoy the outdoor patio area where you can sit, write, contemplate, or simply relax while surrounded by nature. This cabin is ideal for two people. Your choice of one king or two twin sized beds.

The Akasha House has two hexagon bungalows with a balcony and hallway that leads to a beautiful bathroom and rain shower. The house is raised on stilts and is set close to our stream.

The front balcony overlooks the jungle and offers a great view of the stars and moon on clear nights. Many times the howler monkeys pass through the trees right next to this house. This is a private property and our closest neighbors are 1/4 a mile away! Perfect for a mindful experience.

Housekeeping services provided every three days.

During the retreat we will provide: organic, satvic high prana food cooked with positive energy. We believe it is not just what you eat but also how it is prepared.

Meals are vegetarian. We can accommodate gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and nut free. Please let us know of your dietary restrictions.

The closest airport is Liberia International Airport. It is located about 2 hours from the property. Please inquire as you can choose a private shuttle, public transportation or taxi service.
