Day 1

Arrival at Terzo di Danciano during the morning

12:00 – Welcome gathering, introductions and clarifying your own purpose for attending the retreat. Facilitated by the ASE Team

13:00 – Lunch

14:00 – 15:00 – ASE (Authentic Self Empowerment) – Introduction to the methodology and principles, including short facilitated group session.

15:15 – 16:00 – Free time

16:15 – 17:15 – Self-Compassion & Mindfulness – Cultivating self-compassion is important at any point in our lives, but it is particularly important when we have difficult, strong and often overwhelming emotions arise. By working on self-compassion we can hold space for these difficult emotions and be kind towards ourselves no matter what we are experiencing. During this workshop we will learn how to generate greater compassion through a mindfulness practice.

17:15 – 19:00 – Free time / private session time

19:00 – Dinner – Soul pizza making – A fun and interactive evening learning how to make authentic Italian pizza with the chef at Terzo di Danciano.

After dinner – Social or Silence – Choose your preference – a social gathering at the pool terrace, or a silent gathering in the garden or by the log fire.

Day 2

7:00 – 8:00 – Yoga – based on the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa practice, allowing the body to move whilst keeping awareness on the breath and the sensations within the body.

8:15 – 9:15 – Breakfast

9.30 – 10.30 – Creative Visioning Workshop – Create a visual representation depicting your values to help generate clarity and direction in life.

10:30 – 11:30 – Free time / private session time

11.45 – 12.45 – Mind Mapping 101 – Learn how to use mind maps – understand the science behind meta cognition – thinking about thinking! Learn how the brain uses mind maps to improve your intelligence, concentration, learning, memory and creativity. Use mind mapping to organize your thoughts and improve your thinking skills comprehensively.

12:45 – Lunch

14:00 – 15:00 – Practicing Mind Mapping – We will build mind maps from scratch in the areas you want to focus on and learn how to create quick-think maps for agile brainstorming scenarios. This will include materials, software options, and the full techniques to become a Mind Mapping Practitioner.

15:00 – 16:00 – Free time / private session time

16:15 – 17:15 – Jumi (judo mind) session – The core objective of jumi is to develop open awareness (embodied mindfulness) and the ability to maintain it in all contexts.

17:15 – 19:00 – Free time / private session time

After dinner – Social or Silence – Choose your preference – a social gathering at the pool terrace, or a silent gathering in the garden or by the log fire.

Day 3

7:00 – 8:00 – Yoga

8:15 – 9:15 – Breakfast

9.30 – 10.30 – Nature time among ancient olive trees – a scenic 5 minute walk along a country lane from the retreat villa to the old olive grove for meditation and reflection – cultivating open awareness. Facilitated by the ASE Team

10:30 – 11:30 – Free time / private session time

11.45 – 12.45 – Life Transitions & Transformation – How do we navigate the bridge that takes us from a life of ‘crisis’ to a life of purpose? During this workshop we will explore the psychological and spiritual process of going through life transitions, including how times of ‘crisis’ can be catalysts for a transitional process that leads to the transformation of our whole self.

12:45 – Lunch

14:00 – 15:00 – Nonviolent Communication – Discover the connecting power of empathy and compassion. How to communicate clearly and effectively in all relationships.

15:00 – 16:00 – Free time / private session time

16:15 – 17.15 – Nia Session – Nia is a transformational movement healing technique.

17:15 – 19:00 – Free time / private session time

19:00 – Dinner

After dinner – Social or Silence – Choose your preference – a social gathering at the pool terrace, or a silent gathering in the garden or by the log fire.

Day 4

7:00 – 8:00 – Yoga

8:15 – 9:15 – Breakfast

9.30 – 10.30 – Nonviolent Communication – Learn how to listen beyond words and hear what is not being said. Putting empathy and compassion to practice in everyday life.

10:30 – 11:30 – Free time / private session time

11.45 – 12.45 – Relationships Seminar – Strategies to build successful and long-lasting relationships in the personal and professional context.

12:45 – Lunch

14:00 – 18:30 – Excursion to the old town of Cortona – We’ll take a half-hour scenic drive to Porta Colonia – one of the medieval gates of the the historical center of Cortona, from where we’ll continue exploring on foot. Some of the must see places are Diocesan Museum with the the famous Annunciation by Beato Angelico and Etruscan artifacts, the Archeological Park, Girifalco Fortress on top of the hill with a spectacular view, Santa Margherita Sanctuary and many more. A vehicle will be hired for the excursion, thus the fee will be determined by how many people join.

19:00 – Dinner

20.15 – 21.00 – Contemplative Sharing Circle – open group gathering

Day 5

7:00 – 8:00 – Yoga

8:15 – 9:15 – Breakfast

9.45 – 10.30 – Closing Circle and farewell with the ASE Team
