About this Retreat
Luca is a professional skipper, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, and a certified sailing instructor recognized by CONI Italy. He is also a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, a freediving instructor (AIDA / Apnea Total), and a kitesurf instructor certified by IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization).
Deeply connected to the water, he explores its healing dimension through aquatic therapies such as Janzu and Wata, integrating breathwork, meditation, and movement into his way of guiding and caring for others.
With a background in the restaurant industry and a genuine passion for food and hospitality, Luca enjoys creating an onboard experience that blends simplicity, quality, and the essence of the Italian “Dolce Vita”.
In 2022, he co-founded IKIGAI, a project born from the desire to live closer to nature, free from unnecessary complexity, and to share this lifestyle with others.
Since then, he has been living full-time at sea, navigating across oceans, diving into their depths, and continuing a personal journey of exploration, both outward and inward.
Details of this retreat
An invitation to slow down, breathe, and return to what truly matters.
On board Ikigai, we live immersed in the untouched nature of the Guna Yala archipelago, where the sea, the wind, and the sun become allies in a process of deep rebalancing.
Our days unfold outdoors. We sleep gently rocked by the sea, wake up with natural light, and follow a more authentic biological rhythm. A rhythm that, over time, has tangible effects on the nervous system, sleep quality, mood, and overall vitality.
This is where we begin.
Each day, we practice conscious breathing, meditation, and physical movement in settings of rare beauty.
We nourish ourselves with fresh, unprocessed food, prepared with care.
We fully meet our authentic needs, letting go of those that are imposed.
We cultivate relationships rooted in presence, respect, and kindness.
Every day is also an opportunity for exploration: deserted islands, kayaking through crystal-clear waters, encounters with reef sharks, dolphins, and other wonders of the sea.
We experience the wonder of feeling part of a living, wild ecosystem, reconnecting with unspoiled nature and with the Guna culture, which has chosen to preserve a balance far from modern society.
Here, in Guna Yala, life is based on simple, safe, and deeply human communities.
Each day is a journey, both inward and outward.
A return to what truly matters.
An experience that reconnects, nourishes, and regenerates.
