Sing*Play*Breathe - Ukulele for Beginners

About This Event

Program fee: $110

Ages: Intergenerational

Dates:  7 sessions, weekly on Wednesdays

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm PST

Let's make music together! Learn the basics of the Ukulele and become a musician this fall. Linnea will teach basic chords and strums and a little bit of the magical world of music reading and note picking. Our forty-five minute sessions will be fast-moving, full of humour and accessible direction. With music from camp, folk, pop, Beethoven, Naramata and Christian sources, this is the perfect activity for grandparents and children, staycation-ers and those who want to make this summer a meaningful and memorable one for years to come.

You will need:

a ukulele (soprano, concert or tenor-sized)

a tuner (or phone app to tune)

a computer, phone or tablet with cell or wifi service

access to printing technology (I'll send a pdf of a booklet)

a silent/private room to park your device and yourself in

(if you can get your hands on small stick-on dots, it would be fantastic: 2@ green, blue and yellow)

Basking in Words: Poetry for a Summer Morning

Basking indeed! This course was a week of soul satisfying poetry reading and enriching conversation skillfully facilitated by Tim Scorer. I laughed, cried, learned, and was moved by the power of words from a diversity of poets and participants. I felt connected to Naramata Centre throughout the week and to my creative centre. I didn't want the course to end. So grateful!

      Family Reunion 2018.

Our family from far and wide, had a reunion the second week of July 2018 at the Naramata Centre at Naramata BC with some of us camping and the rest of us in the motel style accommodations. We all had a great experience and a good time in an ideal setting! The staff and the accommodations were great! We plan to go back again.
