By Air

From Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport: Book a fast train (TGV) to Lyon Part-Dieu station (2 hours). To reach Domaine de Longeval from here, please see the transport options below.

From Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport: This international airport is located 74 km southeast of Longeval. It offers direct connections to all major European hubs, plus North America and North Africa. To reach Domaine de Longeval from here, please see the transport options below.

There are two options for getting from Lyon airport to Lyon-Part Dieu train station (for onward travel to Longeval):

1. Take the RhoneExpress tram (information concerning the prices and schedule can be found here). It will take 30 mins, and costs around 15€. You can buy your tickets online or on the tram itself. You will arrive directly at Lyon Part-Dieu.
2. If you have the time and prefer a cheaper option, you can take bus number TCL 47 (schedule here) to Meyzieu ZI. It will cost you around 2€ and takes about 30mins. Then you can take Tram T3 and exit at Lyon Part-Dieu (about 20 mins, cost around 2€).
If you want to take a taxi directly to Domaine de Longeval from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, it will cost €100-150.

Big bus companies (Euroline, Megabus, Flixbus etc.) link Lyon to Paris and other major European cities (Torino, Barcelona, Geneva, Zurich, Frankfurt, etc.).

Buses usually arrive at Lyon Perrache or Lyon Part-Dieu train stations. From these stations, you can get a combination of train and bus to get to Domaine de Longeval (see below).

By Train

Lyon has two main train stations, Lyon Part-Dieu and Lyon Perrache, both of which have trains arriving from within France and from major European cities.

Please see below for information regarding onward travel options from these two train stations to Domaine de Longeval.

Public Transport Options on arrival at Lyon Part-Dieu or Perrache Train Stations

Lyon has two main train stations, Lyon Part-Dieu and Lyon Perrache. Both of them have train/bus connections to Chambost-Allières, a village near Longeval and, for certain direct trains, Chamelet which is a little further away.

(Note, that if you need to travel for any reason between the two Lyon train stations, you can take Tram T1 from Lyon Part-Dieu to Lyon Perrache and vice-versa and costs around 2€ – 10/15min).

At either station, buy either a combined train/bus ticket to Chambost-Allières (approximately €12) or, for a similar fee, a direct train ticket to Chamelet (this latter option applies to most evening trains from 17:00 onwards during the working week).

For Yoga Module 1 students in particular, please note that there is a reduced service at weekends. The last service on Saturday (Module 1 arrival day) that will reach either Chambost-Allières or Chamelet is the direct train from Lyon Perrache at 17:46 or Lyon Part-Dieu at 17:56 arriving in Chamelet at 18:40.

For Chambost-Allières bus arrivals, first board the train to Lozanne (the train’s final destination is Roanne, so look for this on the departure boards). Exit the train at Lozanne and the bus will be waiting for you directly outside the train station. The bus will then drop you off in the village of Chambost-Allières, about 3km away from our center.

For Chamelet train arrivals, stay on the train you boarded in Lyon all the way to Chamelet – do not depart at Lozanne. Chamelet is about 4km away from our center.

By Car

Motorway links provide access to all major European cities including Lyon. In Google Maps, type “Hridaya Yoga France” in the search box for our location.

      A gift of Grace

These three weeks were truly a gift of Grace. I have literally found my second family. My heart is holding so much love and gratitude for the warmth of the community, the inspiring and transformative mix of teachings, the beauty, the connection, the stillness, the truth, the love. Home is where Hridaya is!

      Beautiful Retreat full of love

I really loved the retreat. You could feel the true pure love in the whole place, even though there was silence. The lectures were very down to earth, which I liked a lot as it makes the gap between "usual" human beings and the spiritual path smaller. But still there was a lot of spiritual input. I can definitely recommend going there! I went for the 10-Days-Silent-Meditation retreat and learned a lot about love and compassion, which for me felt really like coming home actually. With Love, Sina

      Love Universe

Immersed in, wonderment and silence make for the revelation of the true self to unfold. This silent retreat gently took me there and all I had to do was trust and observe, persevere and be rewarded...for truth is not withheld if it is sought earnestly. From the moment I set foot there to months after a retreat, the love I have come to know continues to reverberate inside me with such significance and tenderness. This is the depth of the teachings of the heart...

      Full of Emptiness (and Love)

Perfect. Full of emptiness, Hridaya provides a peaceful natural setting, loving support, and delicious nutrition to allow any open-minded person to get quiet in order to open their awareness to their heart and learn to live life more fully.

      Authentic, loving and safe

Hridaya France is the perfect environment away from distractions to connect and go inwards within a supportive, knowledgeable, sincere and caring group of students, karma Yogi's and teachers, whom all uniquely make this place so special. The teachings offer a holistic approach with asana, kriya techniques, philosophy and meditation whilst the retreat majestically functions with each person playing their role but with the common aspiration to truly living yoga in daily life. As a student you gain a comprehensive understandings to what yoga/ Mediation is and as a karma yogi you get to work on yourself through offering selfless service and support to the students and community as a whole. The programme is full for modules one and two and strong emphasis on creating silence is provided to aid the students who come for the silent retreats. Bonfires, bajans, ecstatic dancing are also possibilities outside of "silent retreat" time. Its a beautiful castle renovated with much hard work and love which is evident and beautiful organic food made with ample of LOVE.
