DAY 2: Monday, 8 March
Be ready for a fun filled day at the coast. SWAKOPMUND, especially out of season, can feel like a holiday town along Germany’s North Sea and Baltic coasts transplanted onto African soil. It has a laid back feel to it with palm trees, good restaurants and gift shops.
You can choose between a variety of adventurous excursions (optional), from quad biking, fat wheel biking, ocean safaris, dune boarding, horse riding, camel riding, kayaking or surfing. If you would like to observe your surroundings from above, you could even try skydiving or a scenic flight. Sunset Yoga will be on the beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert followed by dinner at your choice of restaurant.

We suggest one or more of the above activities as there will be 2 full days spent in Swakopmund. If you want to visit Sossusvlei in the South, we recommend to book the half day scenic flight to Sossusvlei. The flight departs early morning from Swakopmund, about a 2 hour flight. Day 4: Wednesday, 10 March
Starting the day with a beautiful sunrise yoga session in the desert that will awaken all your senses, making you feel reconnected with your soul...
After breakfast, we will head to Etosha National Park, Namibia’s greatest Wildlife sanctuary, situated in the Northern part of the country. This game park is unlike any other and photographs of animals in front of the pan make this very unique and a special place to visit. It boasts an impressive offer of over 114 species of mammals and 340 species of birds. Etosha has exceptional wildlife including black Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hyena, Zebra, Springbok, Kudu, Gemsbok and Eland. The drive takes about 5 hours, so we should arrive round lunch time. Relax by one of the pools after lunch, read a book,go on a nature walk, birding or enjoy the beautiful surroundings from your own private patio. We will meet again for sunset yoga, ending the day with a buffet dinner.

DAY 5: Thursday, 11 March
After a healthy breakfast we will meet with an experienced guide that will take us to Etosha National Park. Numerous waterholes are found throughout the park and these provide the much-needed water to the animals, especially during the dry season. As the area is mostly sparse, the animals have adapted to drink during the heat of the day when predators are mostly inactive, making it safe for them to venture out into the open and congregate at waterholes. Etosha is incredible and if the game viewing itself is not impressive enough, the Etosha Pan definitely is, as it is even visible from space. Let that be an indicator as to it’s sheer size. Relax after lunch and meet again for a fun acro session. Buffet dinner under the stars.

DAY 6: Friday, 12 March
Waking up to another beautiful day in Africa!!
Sunrise yoga on our open-air yoga deck, followed by breakfast and a Wildlife Game Drive to Etosha National Park. After a healthy lunch and swim you can relax before meeting for a yoga session. Live African Music at a neighbouring lodge after dinner.

DAY 7: Saturday, 13 March

After lunch enjoy a much-needed massage after 7 days of yoga and adventure. If needed, spend some more time at the Spa or go on an afternoon game drive (optional extras). Enjoy your last dinner surrounded by the sounds and beauty of nature.

DAY 8: Sunday, 14 March
Our last sunrise yoga session...
Today your safari comes to an end, but before it does, you will have one last yoga practice and a chance to reflect on self as well as the holiday you have had thus far. You will then have time to pack your belongings and freshen up to prepare for your flight back home. If your flight is late afternoon, you can opt for one more optional game drive or Spa treatment. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight back home...

The retreat will be filled with adventurous days at the coast, wildlife game viewing at Etosha National Park, ending it with more wildlife and wellness at a private game reserve.

Most days start with a morning yoga flow out in nature, the beach or desert. After lunch take some time to relax and enjoy the “holiday” part of this adventure or head off for another activity. Day 4/5/6: ETOSHA NATIONAL Park, Etosha Village Lodge
Namibia’s greatest Wildlife sanctuary, the Etosha National Park is situated in the Northern part of the country.

Etosha is incredible and if the game viewing itself is not impressive enough, the Etosha Pan definitely is, as it is even visible from space. Let that be an indicator as to it’s sheer size. It is believed to have formed millions of years ago for the first time. As long as 16,000 years ago, the Kunene River flowed from Angola into Namibia and all the way down to Etosha, where a huge lake formed for a long time. But due to earth movements the river changed course and resulted in it ending in the Atlantic Ocean instead. As the lake slowly dried up this left the salt pan behind. The Etosha Pan covers a quarter of the entire area of the Etosha National Park and is known to be 130km long and up to 50km’s wide in certain parts, which makes this the largest salt pan in Africa.
