Grandfather Rufino Criollo Quenamá

Heir of the Payaguaje and Quenamá linage, from Siona and Cofán tradition. He is a shaman, a protector of the community and a wisdom keeper, trained since he was 8 years old to become a master of the science of Yagé (Ayahauasca) and the spirit world. He has learned from 11 different shamans, and was isolated from the western world for him to receive the purest ancestral knowledge. He started to travel out from the jungle in 1996, to share the medicine in different places with the permission and the blessing of his masters. Since then, he’s been dedicating his life to share and to help humanity, teaching about medicine on a national and international level. During the retreat he will be guiding part of the ayahuasca ceremonies and the individual tabacco cleanses. His medicine is pure power and love, you can really feel his energy and the guidance in the experience as well as the sweetness of an elder while going to the purest and most profound journey.

Taita Samith Osorio

Our brother, friend and Taita Samith Osorio. Originally from Medellín-Antioquia in Colombia. He spent much of his youth in the Cofán territory of Santa Rosa de Sucumbío, where for 8 years he was an apprentice to Grandfather Guillermo Lucitante Yaiguaje. There he learned the science of Yagé and the jungle, living and growing alongside a true lineage of Taitas. Samith has been and is a light on our path that always guides us and enlightens us with his knowledge, with his example as a human being and as Taita, both in daily life and in the mastery that he demonstrates in ceremonies as well as when cooking Yagé. His word is wisdom and his way of acting is an example to follow. A great medicine musician, he walks this path with a lot of love, respect, humility and commitment with his family, his wife and his children. He will be the one guiding us during the medicine brewing workshop and will guide and lead 2 ayahuasca ceremonies and the 'vomitivo' purgative ceremony.

Xavier, Paula and Daniel are the heart and driving force of this project. Daniel and Xavi, united by a friendship of more than 20 years, have walked together through different worlds until they reached the path of yagé medicine. In 2016 they met Paula, who started playing such an important role in their lives with the time. After so many twists and turns that life takes, it was 5 years ago that the moment arrived when the Great Spirit put them to embark this adventure. Together, hand in hand, traveling to the Putumayo jungle and to different sacred territories, meeting several teachers from different traditions, going through stages and situations where their relationship has strengthened and matured to the point where they can only imagine growing old next to each other and Yagé (Ayahuasca) medicine. And it is thus, with this feeling and this example of family, of unity, of respect and of love, that they build and sustain their project in order to help humanity to remember itself. With the commitment and dedication that their elders have taught them.

Details of this retreat

This will be a wonderful journey for the initiation to your true
essence. A time of introspection, self-knowledge, cleansing, self-worth,
purification and detachment.

You will be able to have an approach to the greatest source
of life on our planet, to the lungs of Mother Earth. Touring
magical places and corners of the Amazon rainforest.
We will learn from the ancestral wisdom of indigenous
shamans, we will find answers, solutions or closures to
personal situations.

Connecting with people related to the
life path we walk. We will return with tools to live
our day to day in a more free, healthy and harmonious way.
The MIRA team will guide and accompany the trip and
ceremonies.

This trip is therapeutic and medicinal, so we will be in direct
and close contact with each participant before and after.
From the moment a person decides to join, spaces are
opened to work, meet and review expectations, in order to
carry out together a personal development work, which
brings us to the best state of consciousness to receive this
gift of traveling together to the Putumayo Jungle.

We built a schedule looking for the perfect balance in between activities, medicine and rest, so everyone can really enjoy their time, integrate and feel no pressure at all to be able to enjoy and participate in all the ceremonies and activities we offer.

It's the perfect place for everyone to enjoy the confort and the space while being in the jungle surrounded by nature to feel its presence and power.
There's reception 24h, restaurant, a Maloka (medicine house), swimming pool and a private waterfall. There are private roads to have a walk and connect with the forest, while it's only 25 minutes from Mocoa, the main city in the area where you can find market, shops and anything you may need.

What a privilege

It was my third time with Vision Mira and as both times before, it was a profoundly healing experience.
Everybody is made to feel so absolutely safe, supported and welcomed by the entire team of MIRA every step of the way, they way everyone and everything is being held in this space is truly special and I have the deepest respect for the way the MIRA team is able to stay present with everything that is coming up to be released.
It is so difficult to find a retreat that is authentic, decolonial and not rooted in the commercialization of the indigenous culture, and it is almost impossible to do so in Europe. Vision MIRA is just that. Once again, I left with deep gratitude, wonder and profound appreciation for the chance of having been in the presence of such immense indigenous wisdom and love and I am humbled by the dedication put forth by the whole team in bringing healing to those who seek it.
The beautiful humans of Vision MIRA have created something truly amazing and special and I fully and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

I had an absolutely incredible experience at this retreat.

From the moment I arrived, the entire team created a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. The facilitators were exceptionally caring, attentive, and professional throughout the entire journey. Just coming back from the retreat with Mira and I am beyond grateful of the whole experience.
From the arrival I felt welcome and safe, the house and the rooms are beautiful and the perfect place for such an experience. The whole team is lovely, thought of everything and provided a space for all the participants to feel safe, welcomed and ready for their journey. It was my second time drinking yagé (first time in Europe) and I can say I felt completely safe, guided and supported by the amazing team and would recommend everyone to not miss our on that opportunity.. will definitely come back.

There are no words from what I experienced from these people at Vision Mira. I was depressed, addicted and honestly at the end of my tether. The experience has been so profoundly positive I feel completely renewed and free for the first time in 15 years. If you’re hesitating, that’s ok, it’s normal, and it’s not a silver bullet and it’s not easy but the energy and love and skill these teachers will bestow on you if you’re open to it, can heal you and save you.
