But I knew that my soul needed more… and that’s when I started to specialise in the powers of the mind. I became a Master in NLP with the technique's creator, Dr. Richard Bandler. I became a Neuro Coach MCC, Access Bars, and essential oils educator, and currently, I’m finishing a post-graduation in neuroscience and psychology.

I have contributed to several other works as co-author in the Collections “Extraordinary Leader”, “The Trainer 1", “Extraordinary Women”, and my upcoming book “The Essential 7 Senses – How to use your Mind to Live, Laugh and Love".

I created the “Essential Mind” training for people who, at some point in their lives, have had cancer present in their lives, manifest their dreams or simply to prevent future illnesses. In it, I encompassed everything I learned during these years, from the spiritual to the scientific part, connecting the mind, the brain and the energy.

And going deeper into the energy part, I became a holistic therapist using a therapy discovered by NASA to treat astronauts, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy), to balance the central energy points, such as the meridians and chakras, energetically recharge (electrons) the cells, and stimulate brain areas like the pineal gland and hemispheres.

I created an international group for women in Hong Kong, “Empowered Sisterhood Entrepreneurs,” which, with globalisation, is now all over the world and has as its objective to guide, inspire, and help them find their best version in all areas of life… professional, intellectual, emotional, relationship, and spiritual (energy).

In Brazil and England, I support individually or in groups through seminars and trainings, online or in person, people who are going through or have already gone through cancer or who want to develop other capabilities and prevent future diseases.

Life is so wonderful that it brings everything we need for our evolution. I never doubted that until one day, I had my first experience with Madre Ayahuasca in Brazil, and it was like opening the door to the world where I belonged. I participated in other ceremonies in Barcelona with Waxy Yawanawá and Ness Dalgà, where I connected all the points of my life, mainly my spirituality, profoundly reconnecting me with all my ancestors. My grandparents united me back to Mother Earth, making everyone a big family!

My mission is my purpose: to teach people that it is possible to heal yourself before you even get sick.

PERSONAL JOURNEY: My name is Taita Isaías Muñoz Macanilla, and I stand as a revered traditional doctor and spiritual elder of the Kichwa people, rooted in the Colombian Amazon. I was born in 1960 in Cecilia Cocha, the borderlands between Putumayo and Amazonas, inheriting a sacred lineage of master healers. My father, Taita (shaman) Isaías Muñoz Caimito, was a respected curaca (chief or governor) among the Uitoto Muruy of La Chorrera, Amazonas. My mother, Margarita Macanilla, hails from the Kichwa lineage of the Napo River region in Ecuador—ancestors who fled the brutal rubber era to seek refuge in the rainforest. I am heir to the lineage of two great Amazonian cultures, Murui and Kichwa.

From 1965, when I was five years old, I took Yagé (Ayahuasca) for the first time with my father. Since then, I have been immersed in the ancestral medicines of my people, the Kichwa. As I say, “Yagé is the ‘bible’ you drink. With it, you see what is hidden, you hear what is kept in the grandfather’s heart.” I grew up learning the healing plants of the jungle, the sacred ceremonies, and the ancestral songs and ícaros passed down through generations.

My training in the science of medicine began with my father, my grandfather, and my uncle Antonio Muñoz — we would all take Yagé. I also took it with Taita Rafael Sanjuán, Taita Héctor Coca, Taita Pachito, Taita Oscar Mojomboy, and the son of Taita Paulino, with whom I drank often and who greatly supported me. All of them were my guides in the path of Yagé. I have also taken it with many other elders, including Taita Querubín Queta Alvarado, Taita Diomedes Díaz, and Taita Guillermo Lucitante. With decades of devotion, I became a guardian of these traditions and a guide for those seeking healing and reconnection with our plant and spiritual medicines.

Beyond my role as curandero (healer),  I have also taken on responsibilities as a leader within our community. From serving as governor in my youth to advising within indigenous councils such as ACILAPP, OZIP and OPIAC, I have strengthened my commitment to cultural reclamation and self-determination.

Since 2014 and through the APKAC (Association of Traditional Authorities of the Kichwa People of the Colombian Amazon), I helped secure official recognition for 19 Kichwa communities, formerly grouped as “Inga”. As a member of the APKAC Council of Elders, I contributed to the Kichwa People’s Ethnic Safeguard Plan, their Life Plan, and their Historical Narrative.

I am also the elder brother and mentor of Taita Marco Tulio Muñoz Macanilla, with whom I share not only blood but a lifelong dedication to the preservation and flourishing of our people’s ancestral knowledge.

For over ten years, I have journeyed internationally to share the wisdom of our healing ceremonies. Each ceremony is an opportunity to bridge the ancient teachings of the Amazon with the hearts of modern seekers, offering a sacred invitation to return to ourselves.

My life is a living bridge between worlds—between sacred traditions and contemporary life. I have dedicated the last 40 years of my existence to healing and guiding others, generously sharing my knowledge and wisdom with all those who seek guidance. Today, I enjoy official recognition from the Government of Colombia, as well as from the Kichwa people and other indigenous nations.

I remain steadfast in my mission: to preserve indigenous culture, nurture our sacred medicine, and foster resilience in the face of global needs for healing, unity, and spiritual alignment. I continue my study of nature, the use of plants, and traditional healing methods. The more one learns about Yagé itself, the greater the humility and the more profound the silence; for this reason, the wise do not speak. May our ancestral wisdom continue to light the path for future generations.
