Directions

The best way to come is flying from Wilson airport in Nairobi. The flight is 45 minutes and there are several regular flights every day. At the Mara Keekorok airstrip you will be received by our guides, who will take you to the camp. The adventure starts immediately and on the way to the camp (40 minutes drive) you will see zebras, giraffe, buffalo, antelopes, elephants and sometimes leopards or lions.

From Keekorok Airstrip you can also fly on to Mombasa or Lewa north of Mount Kenya or other destinations in Kenya.

The other option is by car, it is 240 km from Nairobi on a largely good road for 3/4 hours. We can book you a transfer to pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive you to the camp. This is a nice way to see the Kenyan countryside and is the cheapest option if you are looking to cut down the costs.

Accommodation

Accommodation during the Waves & Wildlife Yoga Retreat has been carefully selected to offer comfort, tranquility, and a deep connection to nature, while honoring eco-conscious and locally rooted hospitality. 🏝️ Coastal Stay – Watamu (Beach Palace) During the coastal portion of the retreat, guests stay at Beach Palace, a peaceful boutique beachfront property in Watamu. Rooms are spacious, light-filled, and designed to keep things simple, airy, and comfortable. Natural materials, soft colors, and open spaces create a relaxed atmosphere that encourages rest and ease. Many rooms are just steps from the ocean, allowing guests to fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake with sea air drifting in. Shared spaces open directly onto tropical gardens and beach views, providing beautiful settings for yoga, meditation, meals, and quiet moments throughout the day. This environment supports a gentle arrival into retreat life — grounded, calm, and unrushed. 🦓 Safari Stay – Tsavo Area (Hildana Lodge) For the safari portion of the retreat, accommodation shifts inland to Hildana Lodge, an eco-conscious lodge set within a private conservancy near Tsavo West National Park. Here, guests stay in comfortable tented suites or cottages that blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. Each accommodation offers privacy, en-suite bathrooms, and outdoor views of the savannah and volcanic hills. Wildlife often passes through the area, creating a sense of awe and connection to the land. Evenings at the lodge are quiet and intimate, with candlelit dinners, cool night air, and expansive star-filled skies. The atmosphere invites reflection, stillness, and deep rest after days of exploration and safari experiences.
