Ayahuasca Sunset Ceremony at Hayulima Natural Reserve

My experience at Hayulima has been one of the most profound and life-changing experiences of my life.

From the moment I arrived, I felt so much genuine care and warmth. The environment is beautifully held and structured, while still giving you the freedom and space to experience your own journey.

A huge part of this was the incredible Hayulima family/Shamans, Salvador, Amalia, Diana, Matias, Marciano, Santiago and a many more who welcomed us with so much warmth and compassion. They took the time to understand the thoughts and processes and, most importantly, simply listen. I never felt judged or rushed. I felt truly seen, heard, and cared for.

Each person brought such a beautiful energy, a sense of warmth, protection, wisdom, and grounding that I found incredibly comforting.

What touched me most was how genuine the care and love here felt from everyone. I arrived as one person, and I’m leaving feeling changed.

Thank you Michelle & Daniela as well and to the amazing ladies who prepared such beautiful and delicious meals, and the groundskeepers.

This is an experience I will carry with me for a very long time. If you are looking for a safe space that you can trust, Hayulima is definitely that ❤️

I stayed with Hayulima as a volunteer for their ten-day retreat in September of 2026, and the experience was one of the best I've ever had at a plant medicine retreat. Their staff is kind and caring, and they put their love into the food they make for us. The team - Salvador, Amalia, Diana, and Matthias - all welcomed me like a family member. The environment of support that they create is incredible, especially during ceremonies. I had the privilege of being at the retreat right before their annual Vision Quest, and so I got to meet people from all over the world who come to Hayulima for this event and to reconnect with the Hayulima family, and that's how I got to know them - as family. It is incredible to arrive at a place you have never been before and then leave knowing that the memories you created with others will stick with you forever. I am therefore so grateful for my time there, and for the love and kindness of everyone involved, as well as the other volunteers and the participants. This sanctuary is truly a place where people can go to get away from the world, to connect with others, and to experience the beautiful plant medicines of Ayahuasca and San Pedro. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and beautiful spiritual sanctuary!

I had a truly wonderful time at Hayulima with the Hayulima family. I felt safe, well cared for, and carried throughout the experience. This was my first time with ayahuasca and san pedro plant medicines. The ceremonies were beautifully held and I hope to return again.

I am gluten and dairy free and the food was wonderful and always prepared with attention to different dietary needs.
