Practicing at the Boundary of Language
About This Event
Practicing at the Boundary of Language: The relational factors of awakening that contribute to transformational learning and liberative understanding
Meditators often fear language; it is seen as the enemy, as the garbage of a mind out of control. And yet they often spend much of their time in silent meditation lost in thoughts that take the form of inner speech. There is another way: Insight Dialogue is a field for practice at the boundary of language and direct, wordless apprehension of experience. With the support of other meditators in the group, language is revealed as an intentional object of meditation.
