Autumn Adams, E-RYT 200, will lead you in two daily yoga sessions overlooking the jungle and Pacific Ocean. It’s truly an amazing place to practice yoga! You’ll begin each morning by waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys and tropical birds in your open-air cabana nestled in the trees. Then, you’ll practice an energizing, all-levels vinyasa flow session followed by a delicious breakfast.

Spend your afternoons surfing, reading a good book, soaking up the sun or practicing hammock asana. The welcoming and accommodating staff can even help you plan excursions.

After a relaxing and restorative yoga practice, spend your evenings enjoying a locally sourced, family style dinner. Exchange stories with and get to know people from all over the world! Cap off the night by watching a breathtaking sunset. Then, after stargazing, fall asleep to the sounds of the trees and the distant waves breaking on the beach.

This retreat is your chance to expand your yoga practice, experience deep relaxation and meet life-long friends. Book your trip today for an adventure of a lifetime!

What about surfing?

Experience unforgettable surfing in one of Nicaragua’s premier surf spots, Playa Maderas. The surf spot offers rippable waves for beginning to more advanced surfers. The beach consists of soft white sand, with some rocky areas creating interesting tidal pools to explore.

From the surfer’s point of view Playa Maderas has a slow wave in reasonably deep water, with four breaks getting hollow on a rising tide – rated good for beginners. It’s a beach offering hollow lefts and rights that handles long period swells quite well. Check out the surf report for Playa Maderas on Magic Seaweed.

Meet your yoga instructor:

Autumn founded Ambuja Yoga in 2014 as a way to not only share her love of yoga, travel & adventure, but as a way to cultivate intention, courage and grace in her students. She hopes her retreat attendees will leave her retreats with a feeling of purpose and with the ability to invite their intention into all aspects of their lives. She encourages her students to be conscious creators… to have the courage to take risks (both big and small), the courage to listen deeply to their body, to their gut, to their heart and the grace to “roll with the punches” on this messy path we call life.

Autumn is a certified Hatha-Vinyasa Yoga Instructor registered with Yoga Alliance. She currently lives in Bend, Oregon and teaches at Juniper Yoga, Max Fitness and the Broken Top Club in addition to her projects and retreats with Ambuja Yoga.

Autumn is a Hatha- Vinyasa Yoga Instructor at the 500 hour level. She completed her 200 hour Hatha training with Yoga Indigo (Bend, OR) and her 300 hour level training with Zuna Yoga (Bali, Indonesia). Autumn has also studied Prenatal Yoga with Shana Celnicker Chong at theBhaktishop in Portland, Oregon. She continues to deepen her practice by attending workshops with internationally recognized yoga instructors like: Leslie Kaminoff, Peter Sterios, Baxter Bell, Kathryn Budig and Rocky Heron among others. Autumn’s classes blend vinyasa and hatha yoga into an accessible, yet challenging practice that encourages intention, grace and courage.
