Details of this retreat

A transformational journey into silence and self-realization in India.

Are you searching for clarity, meaning, and true inner freedom beyond temporary fixes?
Do you sense that there must be something deeper — a real transformation, not just another spiritual workshop?

Imagine immersing yourself in a 21-day silent retreat at a serene Indian Ashram — completely free from digital distractions, daily responsibilities, and mental clutter.
Imagine being supported daily by the presence of a living master, helping your mind fall silent and your heart open.

This retreat offers a rare opportunity to immerse fully in silence, guided Advaita Meditations, Yoga, breathing exercises and inner exploration.

Guided by Madhukar, a modern master of the ancient Indian Advaita tradition and direct disciple of Papaji (Sri H.W.L. Poonja), the disciple of Ramana Maharshi, you are invited into a deep inner journey towards natural enlightenment (Sahaja Samadhi), inner peace, and profound clarity.

Sacred Pilgrimage & Spiritual Immersion
• Full moon Pradakshina — twice we walk in silence around Arunachala as thousands of Indians do for blessings & clarity.
• Visits to Ramana Maharshi’s meditation Ashram
• Nature walks — intuitive contemplation in the serene environment
• Sacred Study — Deepen your understanding and connect with timeless wisdom through reading and reflection on holy scriptures
Participants have the opportunity to explore texts from the Advaita Vedanta tradition, as well as teachings of Ramana Maharshi, Papaji and Madhukar.

Digital & Social Detox
To protect inner silence, retreat participants commit to:
• Complete digital detox (no phones or online devices)
• A vow of silence (Mouna) for the duration of the retreat
This creates the perfect inner and outer space for deep transformation.
Exception: During Satsangs, participants may speak and ask questions towards Madhukar.

You will receive a certificate of your participation in this Enlighten Life Ashram Silent Retreat.

Schedule

The retreat starts on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at 1 p.m. and ends Saturday, February 14, 2026, after lunch at approx. 2 p.m.
Retreat languages are English, Dutch, Russian and German.

Experience and enjoy the presence of a living master in daily Satsang, guiding you home. Satsang with Madhukar, consisting of meditative silence and support, is held twice daily in the most beautiful Ashram in Tiruvannamalai. Satsangs are gatherings where busy minds cool down. Through silence, meditation, dialogue and chanting.

In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast and then we meditate together.
At lunch, a healing vegetarian-ayurvedic detox diet revives your body and clears your mind.

In the afternoon you can relax and release by taking a rest or take walks in the spacious grounds of the Ashram. Mid-afternoon, you are invited for tea time to the Ashram’s dining hall. Two to three times a week there is Mantra chanting late afternoon. In your free time, you can apply self-inquiry (Atma Vichara) in which you get introduced in this retreat. Your experiences with it, you can share with Madhukar during daily Satsang, where it is allowed to speak and arising questions can be clarified.

We have dinner together in the Ashram dining hall, and in the evening true peace reveals itself during Satsang with Madhukar: Thoughts fade and give way to inner silence.

During the retreat, pilgrimages around the sacred mountain, walks in nature and sitting in Ramana Maharshi’s living room will deepen the silence within you. Hence you will immerse into utter silence truly beyond imagination.

Optionally free Yoga classes are offered in the mornings at sunrise. You are welcome to join!
