About us

Our course is based on the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism, tantra nondualistic that affirms and celebrates life and the precise alignment in asana that we have received from the Iyengar Yoga, bringing the philosophical and profound aspect of yoga with the body awareness to our teachings 

1level // 200 hours 

 in Sanskrit "aduatvad" the base that sustains this system is given, it is a solid based on the realization that this non dual conscience is the essence of everything that exists and is full of power. Kashmir Shaivism is a deeply auspicious yoga.The Kashmir Shaivism School of yoga teaches how through the refined alignment we can develop our inner ability to feel that we are in harmony with the spirit that is the force that holds everything.

We are offering a unique and special training course at Granada -Nicaragua with the Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga, the course will be lead by Indian and international teachers firmly rooted in Yogic tradition yet contemporary in vision and communication

What is a 200 YTTC at Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga ?

It is an intensive and soulful course where you learn in detail the most important elements of philosophy and techniques of the Principles of structural Alignment. 

The TTC is designed to give a solid base of practical understanding of the 1 level in the training certification, it is for all the dedicated students and for those who want to deepen beyond regular classes or workshops.

The hours will be distributed in contact and non contact hours and will include: 

- Restorative Yoga (for different physical conditions) 

- vi-nyasa (dynamic sequences)

- cleansings (Shatkarmas)

- preparatory practices and breath work

- pranayama (used in restorative yoga as well traditional) 

- gross physical anatomy and physiology (5 elements and systems)

- energetic anatomy workshop 

- Vedanta and kashmir shaivism yoga philosophy 

- different methods of meditation 

- correct use of props (chairs, bolsters, belts , blocks) 

-teaching methodology (principles of demonstration, assisting and adjusting effectively) 

- school will provide a detail manual and cleansing tools for the student 

- how to sequence will be studied in detail 

- healthy movement patterns 

- different approach per week 


In Granada ��� Nicaragua the Immersion consists of 170 contact hours of practice and study, which are distributed as follows:

Monday to Saturday (Sunday off)

6:00 am Meditation 

6:30- 7:45 am ( Morning yoga, pranayama and kriyas sessions) each week different approach during the morning session 

9:40am to 10:25 anatomy and physiology (physical and energetically) 

10:30am to 11:30 Teaching Methodology 

11:30 am to 1:30 pm Lunch break 

1:30 -2:30 pm Philosophy 

2:30 - 3:30 pm Yoga sessions with lina (mostly iyengar)

3:30 - 4:30 pm self practicum, practice teaching and leading 


6:30 -7:30 meditation

7:30-8:15 asana 

8:15-9:15 philosophy

11-11:45 anatomy 

11:45-12:45 teaching methodology 

As a requirement to received the graduation certificate the remaining 30 hours will be distribute as follows 

- write a report with the guidelines given by kashmir shaivism school of yoga - last day of training students will present the document to the class 

- prepare for a written exam 

- graduates should dedicate to the study of yoga philosophy and introduce one theme at the beginning of their classes include study the history of yoga, classical yoga texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras and deepen knowledge of the philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism or non-dual Tantric philosophy 

- dedicated to the practice and knowledge of asanas and Principles of Alignment, Within the next 3 months follow the course student is required to send an assignment documented by photograph of the Improvement in the asanas learnt during the course according to level and condition of student and he/she will be assess by the director of KSSOY receiving feedback 

Requirements for the course 

The 1 level is open to practitioners of all styles who want to learn the principles follow at KSSOY, it is for those who wants to deepen their yoga practice and apply inspiring teachings in their daily life honoring the body, mind and soul, and for yoga teachers who want to expand their knowledge of classical philosophy of yoga and alignment and want a proper certification 

This level is the first course of Yoga training at Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga consisting of 200 hours (contact and non contact). Perform a complete immersion in the 1 level is a requirement for all students who want to access to the 2 level teacher training or to specialize on restorative yoga for women
