Author and meditation teacher, Charles Francis, will lead you in a quiet and peaceful retreat in the beautiful countryside of Browns Summit, North Carolina. It is the perfect environment to relax and rejuvenate yourself through the practice of mindfulness meditation.
As you may already know, the mindfulness meditation retreat is a powerful tool for your spiritual growth. You can make years’ worth of progress in just a matter of days. In this 2-day (or 4-day) retreat, you’ll gain a solid foundation of meditation through the “12 Steps of the Mindfulness Meditation Practice.” Whether you’re a beginner or experienced meditator, you will learn the proper meditation techniques, so you keep making steady progress in your spiritual development. You will learn how to:

Located in the northern Piedmont Triad region, picturesque terrain makes Haw River State Park the perfect place to connect with nature. Housed within this natural setting is The Summit Environmental Education and Conference Center, N.C. State Park’s first residential environmental education center. Along with environmental education programming, The Summit Center offers conference center facilities for groups ranging in size from 10 to 180. -
Charles A. Francis
Charles A. Francis is the cofounder and director of the Mindfulness Meditation Institute, and author of “Mindfulness Meditation Made Simple: Your Guide to Finding True Inner Peace” (Paradigm Press). He is also the creator of the “12 Steps of the Mindfulness Meditation Practice,” and a regular Huffington Post contributor.Charles has studied the practice of mindfulness with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, and for over 20 years he has worked to help people find inner peace through mindfulness meditation. He is a speaker and consultant, and leads workshops and retreats in Raleigh, NC where he resides.
