"I went to Krishna Village to relax and recharge and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect atmosphere. Every single person was exceptionally friendly, the food was amazing, the cabin was perfect for me - small and cosy and impeccably tidy.
The yoga and meditation helped my relaxation and the natural environment was gorgeous.
Thanks to everyone for making it a very relaxing 3 days "

"Well I went in with no expectations other than how on earth do you cook Italian without garlic? Those thoughts were blow away by Rahda .. Her cooking skills are unbelievable! The food was the best I've ever eaten and without onion garlic or eggs!!!. Highly recommend this class to anyone and everyone interested in eating the best food ever!! Thank you for a wonderful experience and I shall refer my family and friends to look you up when they are passing by. Thank you over and over again "
"Everything far exceeded expectations - the accommodation, the food, the classes. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. And I felt so relaxed and centred after my two days. I loved it all and will definitely be back! "
"We stayed in a cabin with ensuite and was pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and the cleanliness.
All yoga classes were great. Massage with Sylvia was amazing. Food was delicious and plentiful. Can’t wait to go again 🙏🏼"
"I had the best few days camping at the Krishna village! And absolutely stunning property, super chilled, welcoming vibes, INCREDIBLE, nourishing and generous meals and great yoga/mediation classes.
I went to every yoga class and experienced each time, high quality yoga teachers offering deeply satisfying Hatha and Vinyasa classes.
I left my stay feeling so well looked after, nourished and connected back with my body.
I will definitely be coming back!
Thankyou Krishna Village for all your generous and heart filling offerings 💜"
"Krishna village is a special place, very beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful. People are very friendly, the room was clean, the food served was tasty. It is a great place for retreat!"
"From the time you enter the Krishna village you start to feel calmer,by the time you leave you feel a difference energy within your self .I went there looking for a peaceful 3 days. I came away with much more. Thank you."
"Imagine practicing your yoga with a tropical vista and a flock of cockatoos in the distance with a mountainous backdrop as the sun sets, as the most beautiful music plays. At the Khrishna village you don’t have to image because this scenario plays out every day in real life and there is only one word that comes to mind, magical! "
"I stayed at Krishna Village while participating in the 5 day ThaiVedic Yoga Therapy training that they offered in April. I stayed in one of the Private Cabins w/ Ensuite. Such beautiful natural surroundings just make it even easier to totally immerse yourself in the training. The cabin is fully screened and has air con and fan and bed was so comfortable. Shower pressure was awesome and there is a kitchenette with a kettle, crockery, cutlery and a small fridge which is so handy. The food presented at mealtimes is delicious and abundant and served by volunteers who are so friendly and helpful. The highlight of my accomodation was that the cabins are close to the paddock where the property’s beautiful cows graze during the day, so my morning cup of tea was consumed on the sweet little veranda of my cabin communing with the cows who had wandered up to the fence line to check me out. My stay at Krishna Village was just so rejuvenating and calming for my nervous system and I highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of the world. "

"Wow what a warm kind hearted person Lyn is.
Lyn was really helpful throughout the course. "
"I didn’t meet Jen in person but found her super helpful booking the Lomi Lomi course. All week I heard amazing things about Jen. Jen is very passionate about teaching the art of Lomi Lomi and the culture behind it."
"Debbie was so warm and welcoming. Debbie is very passionate about teaching and makes you feel comfortable. A very amazing inspiring lady "
"lovely place and vibe, really enjoyed my day, yoga teachers were knowledgeable and helpful. they helped when i needed and gave good adjustments. 5 star rating. although VERY wet. *ha ha ha*"
"Really lovely place to come and unwind, beautiful surroundings with lovely walks. "
"Beautiful place, such a great experience with such open minded people. It felt like home. "
"A self retreat was just what I needed. The place was great, food great and peace and quite lovely. I also had a massage treatment I thoroughly enjoyed. "
"A grateful open heart for this beautiful experience at Krishna Farm which provided grounding, connection to life's inner sphere, earthiness, finding happiness and joy in simplicity, eating food from the land, food was beyond delicious, meeting people who look into your eyes and soul when they talk to you, no judgement only love, rich meaningful experiences ❤️ thank you Krishna Farm. I will definitely be back! I felt
happiness in every cell of my being. The staff were incredibly kind, generous with their time and love."
"Incredible space for resetting and being with like minded souls. Yoga and meditation classes so healing and informative. Food incredibly good and plenty of it! I will be going back for sure. "
"I loved every moment! Beautiful setting, beautiful people and delicious food. Highly recommend 👌 "
"I can honestly say the people including staff, volunteers, trainers, and other guests were amazing. Very friendly, candid and so much warmth. The food was incredible! The yoga sessions great for beginners, the talks very interesting and the meditation okay as well. Definitely rise early for sunrise yoga, this was 4am for QLDers (daylight savings) but really set the day off to a good start. It was also gentle. Definitely visit the cows and early morning milking at 4.15am and 2.15pm. Again very early for the QLDers (daylight savings) but I did it and it was a real highlight. This is a magical place. I stayed in the Lotus Pod and my room was very clean however it was a little noisy for a light sleeper even with earplugs. Noise of people using bathrooms, talking in the residence above you is very audible. I will definitely be back but i will try a self contained cabin next time. The converted storage container rooms were noted to be a little musty but we had had a fair bit of rain. Pick your time, try to look at the forecast as a heavy deluge can flood the creek and prevent you from leaving, bridge goes under. Tips - if using a shared bathroom bring your own bath mat and hand towel and your own pillow for a better night’s sleep. Bring some snacks and your own water bottle and possibly water as there isn’t a shop as such. There is a communal kitchen with a large fridge and pantry to store food in. Umbrella and gumboots came in handy as did my own yoga mat as their mats are too thin for my old back. Come with an open mind and minimal expectations and let this place surprise you with its simplicity and energy. One hour from Byron bay and one hour from Nimbin. 1.2 hrs from Brisbane. Perfect!"
"My retreat time at Krishna was nourishing and caring and wholesome and the yoga was excellent and strong.
It was a very safe and caring place to be when I needed it and the food was wonderful and plentiful.
Much love "
"Loved my week at Krishna Village. A beautiful, peaceful location to unwind, to heal and forget the outside world for a moment. Yoga classes, talks, music were great and massage therapists the best! You can do it all or do nothing - just sit in a quiet spot and contemplate. I will return to this beautiful community. Namaste."
"WhiIst I was not expecting 5 star accomodation and have been to many yoga retreats, this was far from what I believe is acceptable. A camp ground where yoga is offered as an additional booking if you are lucky to get a spot and basic food options that quickly run out, which should be capped at a reasonable number is much more if a realistic description of what was offered. Terrible and left after one night, in no way a retreat "
"I spend a week as a guest in Krishna Village and overall I enjoyed so much the space, the people, the classes, the values - it really inspired me and made me feel at home away from home.
In the course of my stay however, I had a very unfortunate situation.
In one of the classes, an amazing blindfolded dance to explore your inner world, I was harassed, touched without consent in my breasts by a young man. I sensed him following me around during the class and I took my blindfold off quite a few times because I was feeling unsafe. I eventually understood who was the person as I was seeing.
The way this was handled by the facilitator was amazing. She really held well the situation. The problem was the management of Krishna Village not taking initiative to resolve the incident and apply consequences.
I had to go to them and speak about the incident, almost a week after it happen. No one from the administration cared enough to come through and speak about it - something that is so vulnerable and that time & time again woman go through. This really disappointed me and made me feel angry.
When I eventually spoke to the man managing, I could sense he did not understood or could relate with the depth of the subject - how violating it feels to have someone touch you without your consent, or how tiring it is to have been dialing with similar situations all your life. How grave it actually is to be assaulted.
He told me something like this "You know, it was a blindfold dance and people get excited." - which only made me feel less seen + dismissed. I don't blame him for the lack of perception or understanding on how to deal with something like this.
I know it is big and it is uncomfortable to deal with but for the sake of another possible situation, please educate your people, please prioritize this kind of learning in your boards, please give attention to situations of assault.
It shocked me that I was the one searching to have the situation solved. And that I was alone pondering on what to do - very disappointing.
Heard a few days ago (almost 1 month after) that the man in question got kicked out. It concerns me that no education was passed to this young man on how wrong it is to have this kind of behavior and that other woman (specially young girls) might face the same.
It concerns me that we create a culture that divides instead of uniting, that this magical place praises so much community but then doesn't really know how to cultivate it.
Ultimately, I wish for a better world. Where our man can see woman for their beauty, their art, their sensuality and respect it. Where we educate our man with good values, and make an effort to reeducate the ones that grew up without any.
I'm disappointed but I'm also hopeful. Hopeful that my case and this situation can have a further ripple effect into change and growth.
All the best,
Joana"
"We enjoyed our Easter weekend here.
Good was a little disappointing, dinner by the time it got to us was a clump of flavoured spaghetti, no veggies or anything to accompany, and then not long after us we saw the food ran out. The food was also cold. The servers were not friendly at all, this was especially noticeable, the females in particular looked very unhappy to be therem
Yoga was ok, but we found the women trainers were a bit harsh in their tone and delivery, the men more calming and peaceful.
The room was great and showers toilets were clean. Great property and amenities, and the setting was very peaceful.
A little confused about why there was vegan food but the retreat keeps cows and in the booklet promote using dairy products?
Thank you for hosting us."
"I always love taking a long weekend and doing a yoga retreat at the Hare Krishna village. Everyone is very lovely and the yoga/ meditation classes are fantastic! The workshops that are run are very interesting and it is nice to see when people express their passions. The only downside to this stay was the influx of people making the meal times feeling a bit chaotic and there was one time where I didn’t get a full meal because of the amount of people and wasn’t able to attend a yoga class because it was too full. I understand that the farm beside opening up as a campsite has impacted on the increase of visitors and using the blue wrist bands definitely helps with organising the chaos. Although it seems that the Hare Krishna village might need to expand to cover the influx of people over holiday weekends. Overall, I had a wonderful time to rest and reset with beautiful yoga and meditation, thank you for having me. And the influx of people has not deterred me away from coming back. "
"I love coming to Krishna Village, it ticks so many boxes from the amazing food, the Yoga classes, the workshops the nature, and the views, not to mention being all-inclusive it is such great value for money., but what truly makes this place wonderful is the people and the community spirit, everything is so well run and clean and organised.
"
"Hare Krishna!
The Krishna village is an absolutely gorgeous place and in a fantastic spot. Accomodation is great but could with some better signage and roads to the cabins. Slippery in some areas.
The food was amazing some times and some meals there was no food left.
I am Yoga teacher myself, and the classes were great but mostly catering to advanced practioners.
They need to cater to all and especially new comers. Pranayama, Yoga nidra or prana nidra need to be taught if possible. Yoga is just not strong postures. Using the breath properly is the key.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Sudhir"
