I wanted to share my experience. My Bali trip was not a vacation bye any means. This truly was a spiritual awakening healing immersion! There were many opportunities to overcome fear. Starting with the flights. Very long !!!! The wildlife in my Room. Geckos 🦎 taking care of bugs. 🪳. The very rickety old hanging bridge with slats missing. And a far drop to a river down below. (I crossed it fearless !!!! The HEAT. OH THE UNBELIEVABLE UNMERCIFUL. HEAT !!! The hundreds. I means HUNDREDS! Of steps into the holy water purification temple. (I don’t know what was harder up or down !!!the being immersed under heavy water flow to let go and be renewed The Sometimes very painful massage at the healer Ketut Jaya Healer. Was indescribable yet I know I am changed forever !!!! I screamed. I laughed. I cried my eyes out. But I am. NEW! Stepping into my future with new awareness!!!! The waterfall mountain. Climbing again hundreds of steps I thought I would die. Having wonderful Bali people help and encourage me I wept as I got to the top !then swam in the waterfall pool. (This truly taught me my worth my strength is so much more than I ever imagined)!!!! So grateful to. Dodi. That wouldn’t let me give up ! Then the. Children the beautiful parents that raise them with so little. Seemingly living on next to nothing. And still joyful in their lives. It seems. People really can live on.Love and gratitude!!! I’ll end with what I really admired About the Balinese people. They Pray 🙏. All the time. Everywhere. They give offerings and have Faith like I’ve never seen. I will. "I absolutely loved my yoga trip with Drishti Journeys - I had the joy of being in Sayulita Mexico with Anna Maria 9 a dear friend who led the yoga sessions). I dove into each planned activity and was rewarded by inner growth and how I view the world, I gained a new amazing community of people who are also doing the same work, and was blessed with this container created by the trip facilitators - Reinier in particular. Everything that was planned and executed for this retreat was intentional and heartfelt. I was able to experience the culture and local land and food, as well as have the space to explore what I needed to work on with my own yoga and mindfulness practice. "The Sayulita retreat was an amazing experience that far exceeded my expectations. The workshop leaders, the cultural representatives introducing local culture, and meditation and yoga instuctors were all so inviting and fun. They introduced us to the culture of Mexico by allowing us to participate in an indigenious Cacao Ceremony. They created a safe space for self-discover that allowed me to push past my habitual boundaries, both emotionally and physically, through regular group work sessions, guided meditations, an ice bath workshop and daily liberating yoga sessions. This may sound like a lot for a 5 days, and it was! But what made it so amazing was the group of people Reinier assembled to guide us on the journey and allowed the group of retreaters to bond into what felt like a supportive family. I am very thankful to all the fun, loving, accepting and caring people i got to know on this all-too-brief retreat."

"After more than 15 years of yoga practice, under wonderful yoga teachers, what can i say about Anna-Maria? I had the privilege to take Anna's yoga class for 6 months at a local studio before she moved away. So, I probably attended around 2 dozen of her yoga classes. not many, right? Anna’s class approach transformed my yoga practice, I did wheel posture after having given up on wheel for years. I cannot quite put my finger on why her teaching gifts are so powerful. Her teaching style was very good, the set and setting of the studio was also very good. But I have been given these gifts from other teachers many times over the lifetime of my practice. Maybe Anna's teaching power comes from her truly authentic, present, and unguarded approach to all humans. The good the bad the ugly and the loving, all of it. Now that I think about it, her authenticity, especially in this world, is pretty stealth of her! When I heard Anna was the yoga and workshop instructor for a Sayulita retreat, I signed up. I thought "Sure I'll go do some yoga, get some sun and ocean". Boy did I get so much more than I bargained for, but in a good and healing way. Anna set the tone and held the space for that healing to happen for everyone at the retreat. Anna has a way of cracking open your heart before you have a chance to back away from the uncomfortable territory we avoid."

"Well-organized retreat that far exceeded my expectations. Accommodations at Simple Patagonia Hotel were luxurious overlooking stunning fjord and mountains. All meals were included including delicious box lunches for our daytime activities. Yoga was all-levels and varied from yoga teacher Claudette who also participated In the activities. In addition we had two local guides and professional driver leaving us with nothing to worry about or needing to make any decisions in terms of logistics. Patagonia itself was beautiful with Torres del Paine National Park the crown jewel with majestic mountains and unusual wildlife like the elusive puma, soaring condors in the sky and surprising pink flamingo's and austral parakeets sightings. "

"I enjoyed the daily yoga before and after the outdoor activities on the itinerary. Claudette was flexible and added sessions where we had extra time. Those were most helpful for me, as they helped my body recover from today's hike so I could be prepared to do it again for tomorrow! I was grateful for the opportunity to get to know Claudette better when she joined us on the outings, and we incorporated the yoga mindset throughout the day! The yoga was a key part of making the trip special for me!"

"The itinerary was just what I was looking for! The guides were experienced and accommodated my fitness level, without making it feel like I was imposing on other group members' experience. I learned about the area - flora, fauna and history, while experiencing amazing mother nature. It was an amazing experience!!"

"We had a good experience at the retreat. The difficulty has to with the communication prior to the retreat. Yes Covid is a factor, but it presented a opportunity to demonstrate your communication skills and in my mind it could have way improved it. For example, every other month or so you could have put out a email letting us know where things are. I should not have to beg to find out how much I owe to complete the transaction."

"It was my second yoga retreat of the year and I loved all the thoughtful planning that went into making this trip memorable! The best parts of the tour were the walking food tour Sunday, the Monday waterfalls:black sand beach tours, the sky lagoon day Thursday, and the final group dinner Friday (wow that food!) I also enjoyed having our home base at one hotel so we didn’t have to drag our stuff around with us through the week. Our hotel was nice and comfortable, and we met many like minded people as you tend to accumulate on such a trip. The things I was not a fan of: being on a bus for many hours a day, and a lack of ‘hiking’ which is what enticed me to sign up in the first place- we didn’t hike as a group at all! After Monday’s long bus day, my friend and I opted out of the bus tours on Weds and Fri because the itinerary was not compelling/varied enough to endure 16 more hours of sightseeing by bus! We preferred instead to explore the city at a leisurely pace (read: bars, food, spas!). We all wanted to see the northern lights, but I understand it would be harder to plan for that as it’s never guaranteed you will see them and the weather conditions change rapidly. In a perfect world, I would have enjoyed a night yoga class, followed by dinner and a bus to the country to see the lights on one of the evenings… instead we all kind of picked our own times to try and see the northern lights. I feel like this was such a large draw to go to Iceland, and hoped we could have better linked up to do that as a group! Also- we didn’t see diamond beach (which is just a bit farther than Vik) and that would have been really awesome. Iceland is just large enough that you have to make these choices and either ride a bus a ton or move hotels during your stay, so maybe 2 hotels would have been better? I loved it so much and am happy I got to check off most things I wanted to do and see!"

"I had the time of my life in Bali with Drishti Journeys in August of 2022. It was a long awaited trip first scheduled for May of 2020 and postponed several times due to COVID. It was so worth the wait!! It exceeded any and all of my expectations. The highlight of the trip was our stay at Subak Tabola Villas in Sidemen area. It was truly a bliss! The villa was gorgeous! The setting is so serene, filled with exotic plants, ponds and fountains. I loved being awaken by the birds and the running water early in the morning, opening the doors of the villa and taking in the views. The food was absolutely delicious. Onsite massages were amazing. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I was so sad to say goodbye to them. Reinier's communication ahead of and during the retreat was outstanding! All outings were well thought out and organized. My favorites were the trip to the waterfall (on motorbikes!!), beach day at the pristine Virgin (White Sand) Beach and a ceremony at a temple. I was also so happy to finally catch the clear view of the sacred mountain Agung. Simply magnificent!! We also had a chance to take a boat to another island Nusa Penida, to enjoy stunning views and some good quality snorkeling. My friend and I enjoyed all of the yoga and meditation sessions. The Yoga shala was incredible! The grounds were perfect for the walking meditation we did at one point. I couldn't have wished more from the retreat. I truly hope to be able to take part in future retreats wit Drishti Journeys! Terima Kasih! Viktoria"

"I have just returned from a weeklong retreat in Bali hosted by Reinier and Yvette. They promised I would “find my bliss” and they did not disappoint. The retreat is the perfect combination of spiritually uplifting with grounding and connecting to nature and pure love. "Arrived in Sayulita, Mexico with an open mind and no expectations. Than everything was beyond expectations as Drishti Journeys left no stone unturned and allowed me to have a worry free week without having to make any major decisions which I think is a first for me. The timing of the itinerary was dialed in and the excursions a delight ranging from beach jungle hikes, whale watching tour, visiting cultural sites and excellent local restaurants. My personal favorite ended up being the ice bath workshop! Everybody was quite apprehensive but this optional activity took me out of my comfort zone and gave me renewed confidence. The accommodations were excellent with two pools onsite and the ocean a five minute walk away, while the yoga practices were timed to perfection based on everybody's energy levels. "I completed my 200hr YTT in Peru this August. I found the online advertising to be misleading and some of the teaching staff to be unprofessional and inexperienced. I would not recommend this training to anyone, especially if you plan on teaching in the future."

"After experiencing many retreats and yoga teacher trainings, I am very disheartened by the lack of professionalism that was provided by the Kula facilitators, and did not return home a stronger teacher. I would not recommend these trainings and would suggest looking into other schools. Poor value."
