Advice on how to delegate

Most people who are drawn to starting their own business would be the “Pitta” type in Ayurveda, which basically means we find it difficult to let go of control. We feel that it’s faster for us to do things ourselves (and with higher quality results) than to explain how to do it to someone else. However, in order to sustain the growing demands of running a successful business, delegation is critical.

First, decide what you can delegate (for example, laundry and cleaning or in my case cooking for our retreats). Then, find good people who can fill those roles. Lastly, you need to take the time to train them properly so that they can take over your role and do things in just the right way so that you’ll feel good about delegating.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Because I sometimes work up to 16 hours a day, and need time to stop and breathe. Mary
