Advice on Pre-Educating Participants on What to Expect

Obstacle

Pre-educating people who are interested in coming to our retreats so that they know what to expect. For example, if someone is just looking to “get away”, this might not be the retreat for them because we’re a serious place here.

Advice

We have a “punch list” that we’ve developed over many years to get a feel for the client – how much they know, what they’re desiring to acheive, etc. and every person who is thinking of coming to a retreat here has a phone conversation with one of our staff to review their answers. We take that time to outline what it will be like to attend so that there are no surprises when they get here. I only want people to be pleasantly surprised.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To fix me and therefore fix the world. Rogers
