Advice on reaching your optimal participant numbers

There are always obstacles with signing up participants. I always go through this, every time. When I put a retreat out, you usually need to put out large deposits in advance to the retreat centres that you want to book with. It’s kind of a gamble. It’s also quite challenging to have participants put the money down and commit to it. I tend to spend a lot of time answering questions for individuals. Many people have fears and anxiety about traveling and you can put in a lot of work and that person will decide not to go.

My advice is to try not to worry too much. Don’t panic if you don’t reach your optimal participant numbers. Each retreat has it’s own personality. Sometimes the smaller retreats are the best retreats because the container is so solid. Keep running retreats because you love it and don’t worry about the numbers so much.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica
