Advice on helping people to get the maximum value out of their retreat

We want all guests to have an amazing experience, and we have found that their understanding of what retreat is, how to be in silence, and ultimately – how to retreat, really influences their ability to get maximum value from their time here.

We have created a section of our website, as well as printed copies in each room, with information that helps participants understand what it is to retreat. The oxford dictionary has one definition of ‘Retreat’ that we’ve found useful: withdrawing into privacy or security, (place of) seclusion; temporary retirement for religious exercises or meditation. We also provide information about Dharma (how to be generous), and how to be in silence. Providing this information to each guest has been very helpful.

Why Retreat?

To give my ego a break from all these construction projects. Layth
