About us

Christy Ottaviano is publisher of her own imprint, Christy Ottaviano Books, which is part of the Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group. She has edited many bestselling books for young readers and teens, and her books have garnered such honors as the National Book Award, the Ezra Jack Keats Award, the EB White Read Aloud Award, The John Steptoe Award and the Coretta Scott King Award, among others. She works with the talents of Elise Broach, Laurie Keller, Janet Tashjian, Jennifer Bertman, Kimberly Willis Holt, Tanya Lee Stone, Obert Skye, Wendell Minor, Brian Karas, and April Henry. She holds graduate degrees in English Literature and in Education from Boston College and Columbia University.
