My journey into holistic wellness started over 20 years ago. Movement has always been a part of my life and the transition into teaching yoga was a natural and much needed one due to the on-set of an auto-immune disorder. Yoga played an integral part in managing my illness and helped me gain my life back.
My relationship with Tulum came from a life-changing experience hosting a retreat and inspired me to make a huge life change. I packed up her life, dog and cat and drove a 36 foot motorhome to Tulum. What was meant to be a short stay morphed into 6 years. In that time I opened Yoga Dicha Studio, the first and only freehold yoga studio in Tulum, unveiled her Aligned Flow & Embodied Teaching™ Immersions, launched a retreat and lifestyle experience company, designed and created an apparel and accessories line called Dicha and founded non-profit organization Pesos for Paws.
My time in Tulum has led to her working and partnering with local animal welfare organization Help Tulum Dogs. I estimate that I’ve fostered close to 100 rescue pups in my home over the past two years and continue to raise awareness through my foundation Pesos for Paws, donation yoga classes at Yoga Dicha and on-going work with Help Tulum Dogs through fostering, social media and local education.
