About The Teacher

With an integrative approach, I pull from several different theories and modalities to create a unique therapeutic experience. With specializations in equine assisted therapy, guided visualization, body psychotherapy and inner child healing, I aim to create an approachable and welcoming environment where people feel accepted and understood. My main focus is in Equine Assisted Therapy. I perform groundwork with clients and my horse, Cezar. Equine therapy is guided by you, as the expert on your life, and is a great alternative to traditional talk therapy. My horse, Cezar, is a young gelding who has worked with a variety of people in differing circumstances. Cezar is patient, steady, and highly intuitive. Cezar and I align with clients and create a safe processing space. In our sessions, we can focus on feelings and symptoms related to experiences of anxiety, depression, phase of life transitions, grief, and eating disorders. In a non-judgmental and empowering space, I will welcome you to think holistically, recognizing the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual parts of your being.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months. Keeping our fingers crossed! Jaimee and Dan

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
