Niño de la Selva
Always having lived in symbiosis with the jungle, Niño is originally from Rurrenabaque, Bolivia. He started his camino de las plantas at age eleven. In his teens he turned his passion for the plants and animals of the jungle into a career as one of the city's most notable and adventurous tour guides.
Though he no longer works for any one agency and with several month long survival expeditions under his belt, he still has a deep yearning for the jungle where even a day or two in La Paz will leave his fingers itching to grab his machete and venture out into the wilderness he calls home.
At Age 27 he had an Ayahuasca vision of his to-be maestro Juan Flores. After searching for this mythical man, he finally found a new home as a student at the prestigious school for medicinal plants in Pucallpa, Peru. The centre was Mayantuyacu. When finishing his studies, he returned to his home in Beni with the goal to start a center of his own.
He is now the maestro of Casa de Pawua as well as the President for the Asociacion de Medicos Tradicionales de Rurrenabaque.
