About The Teacher

Rachelle is a lifelong student of movement and music, having explored it’s many forms since childhood. A yogi at heart, she pursued a holistic life in alignment with her passions of art, sustainability, and community empowerment after many years working in the corporate fields of design and marketing.

Through deep listening practices, she encourages students to discover the voice of their inner wisdom and to embody yoga from the inside out as a path of transformation and healing. As an artist, facilitator, and deeply creative person, she strives to make the teachings of yoga accessible to everyone by helping others tap into their unique expression and lead a heart-centred life.

A budding herbalist, Rachelle is deeply passionate about the healing properties of plants, and our collective responsibility to restore the earth to it’s original magic. She merges her passions of mantra, movement and medicine, often working with Cacao as a plant ally.
Rachelle is humbled and extremely grateful for the many teachers who have graced her path including Acharya Vinay-ji, Julia Forest, Thomas Love Power, and Paul Mitchell. She offers mentoring to conscious entrepreneurs in branding and design and facilitates movement and sound workshops around the globe. She is a co-founder of Folk Collective, a collaboration with artisan cooperatives around the world preserving craft lineages, storytelling traditions and generational wisdom. She currently hangs hats and stores mats in both Canada and Guatemala, and is one of the founding members of Awakened Spirit Yoga.
