Shanna Tabatcher

About The Teacher

Shanna spent her early childhood dancing and playing sports. She grew up in a spiritual household in Ohio and spent a lot of time writing and reading personal development books. In her late teens, she found yoga which was a perfect marriage of movement and spirituality. In 2009 she became a 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher and she will soon become a Certified Qoya Teacher. Shanna became a Certified Law of Attraction Coach in 2014 and loves to use movement and coaching techniques in her work with women.

Shanna’s movement philosophy is incorporating yoga, sensual movement, dance, storytelling, mantras, mudras, and meditation into powerful and life changing practices. She believes movement is a powerful way to help women move from their head to their heart, to cultivate a more empowered relationship with their bodies and life. Shanna thinks of herself as a sacred space holder-creating a sacred safe space for women to trust their own experience and use their body as a guide to embody their truest expression. Shanna’s favorite form of yoga is Bhakti Yoga and is currently learning to play the harmonium. Shanna hopes to soon be able to incorporate her harmonium and chanting into yoga classes, workshops and retreats. Shanna’s mission is to empower women through movement and inquiry to remember their essence, discover their truth and live life on their own terms.

Shanna is a free-spirited Sagittarius who enjoys reading, playing outside, traveling, aerial yoga, cooking vegan food, learning, chanting, dancing and spending time with her family.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

It would my first vacation in the mountains. I think getting away and beginning a new routine would be good for me and a friend. Dianne
