About The Teacher

Gita began teaching kids using the Yoga for the Special Child method in 2006. She teaches private and group classes at South Shore Conservatory (SSC) and in public schools, day habilitation programs, autism resource groups, and after-school programs throughout the South Shore. Gita is training with Sonia Sumar to become a Yoga for the Special Child teacher trainer, and she serves as a co-teacher for the Basic 1 Program. She is the Accessible Yoga Program Coordinator in the Creative Arts Therapies department at SSC in Massachusetts.
