YOAO PALCHUCAN

A musician and luthier with over 20 years of experience creating and playing indigenous instruments from the Americas. His profound knowledge of traditional sounds and his connection to the ancestral medicines of his indigenous lineage have allowed him to accompany ceremonial and healing processes throughout his career.

As a biologist, a graduate of the University of Quindío, he has maintained a strong commitment to the conservation of ecosystems and the species that inhabit them. This interest has also led him to explore scientific illustration, combining art and science in his professional trajectory. In addition, he has worked as a teacher and dedicated his time to building Latin American instruments, fusing his passion for music and nature in each of his creations.
