About the Teacher
Why study with them?
My name is Brenda. I am a Brazilian artist, drum maker, and holistic therapist devoted to weaving together art, shamanism, and transformational healing experiences.
My journey into the holistic world began in Brazil in 2015, initiating a profound path of personal and professional transformation. Along the way, I received initiations within Brazilian, North American, and Nepalese shamanic traditions, which deeply shaped my understanding of ancestral wisdom, spiritual healing, and the power of ritual.
When the drum entered my life, I recognized it as a sacred bridge — a way to unite everything I love: art, freedom, creativity, and shamanic practice. I was initiated by my teacher in the sacred craft of shamanic drum-making, learning not only how to build these instruments, but how to hold space for others to create their own. By integrating his teachings with my therapeutic and artistic background, I gave life to the work that most fulfills me: the Drum Creation Workshop.
Through my work in Art Medicine, I guide participants into creative and therapeutic journeys that support the liberation of the inner child, the release of self-judgment, and the awakening of authentic expression. I believe art is not about perfection — it is the pure voice of the soul. When we allow the body to feel, move, and express freely, deep transformation unfolds, and new dimensions of perception open within our lives.
Currently based in Braga, Portugal, I facilitate workshops and experiences in various locations including Porto, Lisbon, Aveiro, and Viana do Castelo. I am also available to collaborate with retreat centers, conscious communities, and international groups across Europe.
With years of dedication and experience, I craft high-quality shamanic drums — created with intention, presence, and respect for the sacred. My drums are especially appreciated by therapists, facilitators, and space holders who wish to integrate this powerful instrument into their work, as well as by those who value meaningful, handcrafted artistry.
I often say that I do not simply create drums — I create works of art in the form of drums.
Everything I offer is born from love, devotion, and a deep respect for the healing journey.
