I plan to divulge all of the details of my past and the details of my current inner and outer workings in my blog, but this is where you can get a quick idea of who I am and what I’m about.
The simple answer is yoga. And not like superficially.
Like I’ve been practicing for over 15 years. And the first 10 of those I was extremely sick. I could barely get much physical practice in but I clung for dear life, literally, to the philosophy and spiritual teachings. My experience with chronic illness has greatly shaped my teaching and outlook on life.
It was the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, alongside modern-day healing gurus Dr. Wayne Dyer and Tony Robbins, that got me through the darkest times of my incorrectly diagnosed chronic illness. Through hard ass work on all aspects of yoga combined with the Universe bringing the right doctor into my life, I have finally gotten to a place of good health that allows me to explore the limits of the physical practice.
My health has also thankfully been in a place for the past five years that allows me to share all that yoga has brought to my life with others as a full-time job. I don’t take this gift lightly and am passionate about helping others not fall in the same holes I have throughout my life and practice.
I also don’t take yoga too seriously. It is always here for us, and it is here for us in a fun way to make our lives better - not shittier!
Forget the idea that it has to be slow, weird, boring to be real yoga. It is completely possible to learn amazing form, notice your thoughts without judgement, and listen to Drake at the same time. And that’s what I’m here for. That real dope yoga.
