Elli is a spiritual energy healer, yoga instructor, and modern day shaman. At her core, she is an ambassador of love and light and is passionate about raising the vibration of the planet. In her teaching, healing work, and presence, it is her sincere intention to be a clear, open channel of love, energy, and information.
Elli has been practicing yoga since 2000, however, it wasn’t until her own healing journey with traumatic brain injuries and adrenal fatigue, that she really deepened her practice. She was completely unable to even attend a yoga class for a few years because of her severe fatigue and post-concussion symptoms. She had to develop her own practice that would heal and energize her. She was incredibly disciplined with her meditation practice and anything that would bring her back to vibrant health. She dove into multiple healing modalities while developing her personal yoga practice. This is also what led her to study energy healing and remember her deeper soul’s purpose. This healing experience informs her teaching, and there is not one second that she takes her practice, health, or strength for granted.
Elli’s yoga classes are authentic, creative and intelligently sequenced. She teaches mostly vinyasa and yin styles of yoga. Her vinyasa classes are not only challenging and invigorating, but will nourish your soul. Her yin classes, are healing, energy-focused, and transformational. Regardless of the style, each yoga practice is an opportunity for integrating mind body and spirit, and aligning with your higher-self.
Elli has a master’s and bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, completed 2 years of intensive energy healer’s training, and completed a year-long program through the Gateway School of Shamanism. She has received the 9 Rites of the Munay Ki; the 9 shamanic great rites of the medicine way. She has an RYT 200 hour power vinyasa certification through FlyDog Yoga in Charlottesville, VA. She is published in Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise and Experimental Diabetes Research for her molecular biology research in type 2 diabetes and resistance exercise.
Elli loves the work of teaching yoga, healing, and creating sacred space as a way to share these powerful healing practices with her students. Her intention is that each time you step onto the mat, you connect with your radiant core; revealing your wholeness, divine wisdom and inner strength.Source: drishtijourneys.secure.retreat.guru
