About The Teacher

Alexandra's journey with yoga began eleven years ago, shortly after finishing her studies in Massage Therapy. From the first time she tried yoga, there was an immediate shift in her mind, body and soul. This was a brand new experience in her life and left her with a deep curiosity for more knowledge. After practicing for a few years and following her passion for movement and the human body, she pursued her first teacher training program in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. Since then, her interest for this practice has grown immensely. Furthering her studies with various courses and trainings, she has incorporated her knowledge of the human anatomy to enrich her yoga practice with the intention of helping others achieve their full potential. Alexandra currently teaches weekly classes in the city of Vancouver, Canada with a focus on the styles of Hatha Yoga, alignment based Vinyasa, Pranayama and meditation.

      Yoga Chica!

I have had the pleasure of a few yoga classes with Alex. She was very helpful with showing proper alignment, as she knows the body well! Alex is a patient and caring person, that I know well as a registered massage therapist and now with yoga. I look forward to seeing her always! Can't wait till we see each other next time for some yoga!! 😄

      Multifaceted personable yoga instructor.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Alexandra and learning from her for many years. Her gentle and strong approach to yoga is unparalleled. Her knowledge of human anatomy provides her with the capacity to not only give great adjustments but also helps students with a little more perspective when it comes to practice and their personal bodies. She is very personable, passionate and connected and would be an amazing teacher for anyone looking to find a great teacher with a multifaceted approach.

      Alex is awesome!

I have had the pleasure of knowing Alex for 15 years. We met studying Massage Therapy together and have been close ever since. I have watched her grow from a passionate RMT into a committed and knowledgeable yoga instructor. I have practiced with her and studied from her and her energy is always a pleasure to be around. She has a calm and soothing approach to all that she does and is extremely educated in her practice of yoga. Her combination of clinical human body movement with her yoga education makes for a great fit. I have no doubt that anyone that learns from her will leave satisfied, and with a heightened experience all around. I highly recommend Alex as an instructor and as a life long friend!

I love Alexandra's approach to teaching, she is gentle and has a cool calm voice, which I find relaxing when in a yoga class. I enjoy her hatha class at Dude Chilling park focusing on alignment with a smooth flow of movement, building warmth and strength. I look forward to my next class with Alexandra. Thank you, Namaste.
