Tessa found yoga 10 years ago while traveling around New Zealand, meeting open minded and spiritual beings who spoke of the practice. It wasn’t until she was back in her home province of Nova Scotia, on the East Coast of Canada, where her yogic path began. Once she found a studio that best suited her, she was hooked and soon realized the benefits of yoga - how not only her body, but also her mind, were transforming in an uplifting and positive way. After a few years of practicing and using yoga as a therapeutic approach she decided to take her Yoga Teacher Training with Marianne Wells School of Yoga in beautiful Costa Rica. This training enhanced her personal practice greatly and was the beginning of a desire to learn more and share her passion with others. Now, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, she has since completed training with Inspira Yoga. Now, as a RYT she is teaching Ashtanga-based Vinyasa, Hatha yoga, Pranayama and meditation. Tessa works with hands on adjustments to deepen your personal practice and to encourage the correct position within your asana.

Tessa’s innate positive energy is contagious and it transcends into her practice. The flow of her practice is like fluid, her instruction is concise and easy to follow. Tessa makes it easy to turn your brain off, focus on your breath and get lost in movement. I always leave her class feeling relaxed and refreshed. I only have great things to say about Tessa and her yoga classes.

In my approximately 300 experiences of yoga, my experience with Tessa was the best. Most of all because of her way of connecting with people and her very present way of teaching. Also she has a very pleasant voice!

For me as a newcomer with yoga I found Tessa to be welcoming, mild and warm. She put together the combination of exercises that she thought would fit me the best and it was a tough but very fresh experience :-) I would recommend experiencing yoga with Tessa as your teacher to everyone!

I have spent sometime with Tessa and she is a very special person and yoga teacher, enthusiastic and supportive each student, maintaining a professional but compassionate way of teaching. She is prompt, organized, and always good at teaching each student with patience along with a solid knowledge of the foundations of yoga. She guides her students in building awareness of proper form and breathing in the yoga poses.. She is especially good at organizing her classes to accommodate the varied expertise levels that one may find when teaching classes and lead students though an enjoyable and safe class. I am consistently impressed with her dedication and gentle compassion. Amazing teacher! Raquel Salvador

The yoga teaching from Tessa is among the best I've experienced during my 17 years doing yoga. Her presence in the class is sincere, dedicated and with clear instructions. While maintaining this focus she also meet the individual needs from the participants. I give Tessa my warmest recommendations.
