Hey, Benny Fergusson here (founder of the Movement Monk project),
I loved sports and being active as a kid. My body supported me to play elite level volleyball, ride motorbikes, skateboard and just generally have fun... until I injured my spine in a freak accident.
From that day I couldn’t stand up straight or walk down the street without feeling in agony. Chronic tension was acting like a restrictive layer that was present when I performed any physical activity.
Since then, I’ve spent most of my life exploring ancient mind-body practices, martial and healing arts, to discover how to unbind and liberate the human body and mind.
Today, my spine moves better than ever and I love the way my body feels. I understand how to connect with the wisdom of my body and I’m looking forward to sharing what I know with you.
Over the years I’ve worked with hundreds of people to support them to release tension from their bodies, and cultivate deep levels of whole-body strength and range of motion, so they can not only perform better physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
