About us

Marcia K. Meyers has been a Dharma practitioner for over 40 years and has practiced in the Vajrayana tradition since 1990. After earning her MSW and PhD she engaged in research, writing and graduate education addressing issues of poverty and inequality for many years. She recently stepped down from her academic appointment to deepen her study and practice of the Dharma, after launching a “Mindfulness and Compassion Practice” course for graduate Social Work students. She has studied and traveled with Lama Tsultrim since meeting her in 2014 and co-leads the Whidbey Island Sangha. She is honored to have been invited by Lama Tsultrim to join the Tara Mandala teaching group and delighted to have the opportunity to.   Email: Location: Whidbey Island, Washington

Why Retreat?

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched.
