About The Teacher
Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Almunis is a singer, sound therapist, healer and teacher, graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and the CIIS Sound, Voice & Music Healing Program in San Francisco, California, USA. She is the creator of the Sonido Sana Embodied Voice method, and has been teaching it internationally to thousands of people since 2005.
Deeply rooted in the immemorial shamanic ritual practices of the Americas, Almunis guides sound healing workshops and sessions sharing her devoted connection to singing as a path of self-discovery and transformation. She incorporates her training in Anusara Yoga, Taoist Feminine energy work and plant medicine, in a holistic profound exploration of the voice as vibrant energy.
As singer and founder of Lulacruza and Minük, she has also performed on four continents and recorded more than 30 albums. All her songs, chants and offerings across the world aim to anchor light and sound codes from her star ancestry back into the Earth, activating an authentic, powerful presence of love and unity.
