About the Teacher

Why study with them?

I began practicing yoga whilst working as a Theatre performer with the idea it would help me keep up a general level of fitness. I really wasn't prepared for how it would profoundly change my experience of life. I started to connect with the numb parts of my body and the cloud of anxiety I had been existing was fading. After exploring many styles of yoga and seeking different ways to heal I discovered Ana Forrest's book: Fierce Medicine. It spoke to me so deeply that I found myself in Peterborough on Ana's teacher training just a couple of months later! The training was so detailed and extensive assisted by the amazing Sandra Robinson and Jambo Truong among other expert teachers. I learned how to work with specific injuries and how to work with yoga in a way that can heal trauma. Following this, I went on to complete my training in Yoga4Autism with Yotism, where I discovered the beauty of making yoga more accessible and inclusive. I taught in gyms, yoga studios, community centres and schools across London and the UK. A few years later I went to India to study Yin & Yoga Nidra at Trimurti. I have experienced deep emotional shifts through Yin yoga and loved learning about how it works with the fascia, the connective tissue in the body rather than specific muscles. Alongside teaching yoga, I am also a singer/songwriter and love sharing my music and helping others to open their voice. Yoga has and continues to help me move from a place of fear and numbness to feeling energised and alive! It is helping me to become a better communicator and empowers me to recognise my own strength. I love sharing everything I have learned to help others work through injuries, release struggle & emotional baggage, connect to their bodies and ultimately heal.
