About the Teacher

Why study with them?

I fell in love with yoga at my first trip to India in 2012. What I formerly knew as merely a kind of stretching shifted into a lifestyle that opened my eyes to the life underneath the surface of mundane day to day living.
I came back to India in 2016 for my first Ashtanga-Vinyasa Teacher Training and up to date never stopped learning. What followed were more trainings in Advanced Vinyasa Flow, Yin and the more vigorous Rocket Vinyasa.

Due to my background in Architecture, I have a well-trained eye for the beauty of form, but also for the powerful authenticity that is found in simple concepts.
My signature classes combine the fluidity of Vinyasa with the idea of having a solid framework derived from the Ashtanga and Rocket series. Honouring the kaleidoscope of the human body and mind, I love to experiment with the combination of different principles in order to create an experience that goes beyond just moving the body around. My teachings are usually sequenced in a storytelling way that takes my students on a journey through tension and release, sweat and ease, focus and relaxation and in the best case gives them something for takeaway off the mat.

I put strong emphasis on consistently building strength in order to safely explore flexibility, while educating my students on their movement patterns and individual alignment.

The latter is a big topic in my Yin classes, where I like to encourage my students to take the time to tap into the uniqueness of their body, and to take responsibility in adapting their practice to their individual condition. Physically, mentally, emotionally. Form follows function.
