Lani Yamasaki

About us

Lani Yamasaki will help us to invite the sacred land of Hawai’i, the ‘aina, to support our healing and awakening.  Ancient Hawaiian culture has a spiritual foundation and values. Paramount in healing is the value aloha—love and compassion. When aloha is exchanged, it means “my spirit honors the divinity in your spirit.” Holistic healing is the kuleana—lineal privilege and responsibility her family has honored since ancient Hawai‘i and we are so blessed to have her invoke this lineage with us! Lani is gifted in many fields from prolific artistry to creating and directing ‘Ano‘ano Aloha, a charitable non-profit focused on community social economic development.  For nearly three decades, she has also worked within her community to facilitate trauma recovery and empower individuals.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
