About The Teacher
April was originally drawn to yoga in 2006 for its physical benefits, which have helped her to heal from an injury and become healthier and stronger in her body than ever before. After several years of physical exploration of yoga, April began to realize its emotional, energetic, and spiritual benefits. Becoming a yoga instructor in 2014 and diving deeper into her own yoga and meditation practices has opened up endless opportunities for growth, expansion, and connection. Her practice is always evolving and she is always learning, which allows her to connect with her students through her own experiences, struggles and successes.
April received her 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha certification in January 2014 in Rishikesh, India. She later graduated from Kindness Yoga Studio's 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in December 2014. She strives to cultivate a teaching style that weaves the philosophy and discipline of the traditional teachings of yoga with the modern lifestyles and challenges of today’s world.
