Bodhi Stroupe

About The Teacher

Bodhi met the Dharma at the age of 18, and has been practicing for the past 13 years. He first took refuge with Kyabje Tri Rizong Rinpoche, the 102nd throne holder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Since, he has studied with many great teachers including HH Dalai Lama, Geshe’s, Mahamudra and Dzogchen masters, and many accomplished Lamas in the west. He now studies under Tulku Sang-Ngag Rinpoche, Lama Tsultrim and Drubpon Lama Karma, as well as visiting teachers to Tara Mandala. Bodhi has been a resident at Tara Mandala for the last 2.5 years, working to take care of the Temple in the summer retreat season, and engaging in solitary retreat in the winter. He is part of the Gateway program at Tara Mandala – currently in the Tigers cohort, under the guidance of Tulku Sang Ngag Rinpoche and Lama Tsultrim. He is very grateful to be apprenticing in the role of teaching and helping the Dharma flourish in the west.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

So that I am rejuvenated to be the best I can be in my relationships - personal, work and in Society - offering and giving to be of benefit to others! Laura
