About The Teacher

About me "THE TEACHER"

My name is Amandeep. I was born in India many full moons ago .The land of religious devotion, growing up in India the devotion just came naturally to me. Even as a kid I remember, the evening prayers and kirtan reached my soul.

The stories that my grandfather read  me from the scriptures would intrigue a lot. I guess, that is how the  religious devotion started  in my life. At 19, my parents decided to immigrate to Toronto. We came to a totally different world and culture. I had the most challenging and dark times getting adjusted to the new life. Along the way, I got so engrossed in trying to fit in or trying to be someone else that 5 years would pass before I would realize something is wrong.

I was working at a corporate company and the environment was such that everything was based on " multitasking"

"Attention to details" "Thrive on deadlines". Soon, it caught up to me and one day I told my best friend " I think I am losing my mind I need to meditate and calm my mind". He found a meditation centre close to house where I could go every evening and meditate. I guess that is how my journey started back to finding myself.

Today , I am a yoga teacher not religious but spiritual. I can no longer call myself a citizen of any one country. I genuinely believe this whole cosmos is mine  and I am here to experience the world that is inside me and outside of me.
