About The Teacher

Zamanta was born in Panama, by a Trinidadian mother, but raised in Brooklyn, NY. "I start off on a completely different path, with a BFA and a full-time job as a corporate interior designer. While pursuing, as a hobby, my Black Belt in Karate, I discovered yoga” In 2002, yoga changed my lifestyle and in 2009 I became an E-RYT 200 Yoga Instructor full time and that has been my day job ever since."

Zamanta received her certification from the honorable Swami Brahmavidyananda. She believes in personalizing her classes to the students' needs because no two people are alike. Her Hatha yoga format comes from her unique rhythm and energy combined with years of practicing a variety of yoga styles, Ashtanga, Anusara, and Vinyasa.  No class is exactly the same, but each class focuses on alignment, movement, strengthening and having fun.

"This is Your Life, Create Your Message". Zamanta offers to the world Za Yoga Retreats and Workshops in the United States and Aboard.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I'm having a baby in October and want to focus my practice so I can be present and calm! Laine
